| Balancing regional economic development and ecological environment protection has become an important topic in current sustainable development research.Yunnan Province is located in southwestern China with a relatively low level of economic development and severe ecological damage caused by natural disasters,which hinders the province’s sustainable development.The "14th Five-Year Plan" emphasizes the implementation of a sustainable development strategy in Yunnan Province,strengthening the construction of ecological civilization,promoting a comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society,achieving harmonious coexistence between humans and nature,and highlighting the importance of studying how to achieve coordinated development between the economy and ecology.Therefore,this article aims to explore the level of coupling and coordination between economic development and ecological environment quality in Yunnan Province to provide reference for local high-quality development.This article starts from the perspective of geographical spatial and temporal changes,combined with quantitative methods such as the In VEST model,fitting equations,coupling coordination degree model,GM(1,1)model,etc.,based on platforms such as Arc GIS,In VEST 3.11.0 Workbench,etc.The research and analysis of the nature and spatiotemporal evolution of economic-ecological coupling coordination in Yunnan Province and its 16 prefectures and cities.Firstly,the research area and content were outlined,and an evaluation index system was established.Secondly,the economic-ecological coupling coordination of Yunnan Province and its16 prefectures and cities were calculated by models,analyzing the changes in economic development level and ecological environment quality during the research period,and exploring the changes in the two subsystems and their coupling properties.Finally,based on the above research,the GM(1,1)model was used to predict the level of economic-ecological coupling coordination in Yunnan Province in 2025 and put forward policy suggestions for optimizing the coordinated development of the economy and ecology in the province.The research shows:(1)From 2000 to 2020,economic growth in Kunming and its surrounding prefectures was particularly significant,forming economic connections and generating multiple economic development cores.(2)Overall,there was little change in habitat quality,but areas with relatively weaker economic development had higher habitat quality ratings.Most regions in the province have a relatively high level of habitat quality,with both high-grade and low-grade areas increasing while habitat quality slightly decreased.(3)The level of economic-ecological coupling in Yunnan Province is relatively low,with better conditions in core cities,but it has always been in an antagonistic stage.However,the area of such coupling is expanding,indicating a transformation towards more orderly economic-ecological development in the province.(4)The spatial distribution pattern of the coupling coordination level between economic development and ecological environment quality in the 16 prefectures of Yunnan Province is significant,with the coordination level in core urban areas increasing year by year,while most other areas are still in a state of imminent imbalance.(5)According to the predictive research,it is expected that the level of economicecological coordination in Yunnan Province will slightly increase by 2025.To promote coordinated development in the province,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions will be proposed in the concluding part of this article. |
