Research Of Emergency Symbol Design Based On SVG

China is a country with frequent emergencies.All kinds of emergencies have brought great losses to the country.After verification by the Ministry of Emergency Management in consultation with other relevant departments and units,a total of 900 natural disasters occurred in 2022,with direct economic losses reaching 238.65 billion yuan.In order to cope with such a large number of emergencies,the state attaches great importance to emergency management,and gradually promotes the cause of emergency management,so as to improve the ability of emergency management.As the saying goes,"One picture is worth a thousand words",in the expression of emergency information and emergency comprehensive management,emergency linkage dynamic situation map has unparalleled advantages,and is very important,even indispensable,for emergency response.And map symbols are the language of the map,so emergency symbols are the core and soul of emergency linkage dynamic potential map.A set of simple,clear,eyecatching,close to the public emergency symbols can greatly improve the quality of an emergency linkage dynamic potential map,thereby improving the rescue effect and reducing the loss of life,property and environment.However,through reading and studying the literature related to emergency symbols,we find that there are still many problems with emergency symbols.The first is the classification of emergency symbols.There are some problems in the current classification of emergency symbols,such as unclear classification,incomplete classification and duplicate classification.Moreover,the classification and coding of emergency symbols are not uniform,and there is no uniform standard.The second is the design problem of emergency symbols.The existing emergency symbols have problems such as unreasonable color design,single shape of symbol frame,and the symbol graphics do not conform to the habitual recognition,which lead to the low recognition and impractical use of symbols.Thirdly,the standard of emergency symbols is not uniform and detailed.Fourth,there are problems in sharing and publishing emergency symbols.The lack of a unified platform for sharing and publishing emergency symbols has caused researchers to do a lot of repetitive work,and the promotion of symbols cannot be carried out.The formulation of national standards and the construction of national sharing platforms are a systematic and huge project,which can not be completed by individuals.Through the research literature and scientific exploration,this paper attempts to solve the first two problems,namely,the classification and coding of emergency symbols and the design of emergency symbols,in order to contribute to the study of emergency symbols.The main contents of this article include:(1)The research status of emergency management,emergency maps and emergency symbols is analyzed,and the theory and technology related to emergency symbols are briefly described.SVG is chosen as the symbol format for emergency symbols because of its international universality,excellent graphics quality,convenient modification and small file footprint,as well as the characteristics of SVG format symbols such as easy modification of symbol attributes,cross-platform use and two-dimensional integration.(2)Put forward the principles of emergency symbols classification and coding,and design the methods of emergency symbols classification and coding.Based on the existing standards and related theory and technology,combined with the characteristics of emergency symbols,the principles of emergency symbols classification and coding are determined,and emergency symbols are classified and coded.(3)Design the emergency symbology.Based on the classification and coding of emergency symbols,through the exploration and consideration of emergency symbols system,according to various standards and standards,as well as people’s needs and cognitive habits,the specific scheme design of emergency symbols system is completed.(4)Investigation and demonstration of emergency symbology.This paper demonstrates whether the symbology of emergency response designed is reasonable by means of network questionnaire.The rationality of emergency symbology is further verified through the experimental system.Finally,the results of the study are summarized,the shortcomings of this study are pointed out,and the direction of future research is prospected.
