| With the accelerated urbanization in China, the problem of urban road congestion is becoming more and more prominent. How to make a fast, accurate, and effective prediction of urban road congestion while satisfying residents’ transportation needs such as high efficiency, high convenience, and high comfort is an urgent problem in the fields of urban traffic management and intelligent transportation.Urban traffic is a complex giant system composed of a human-vehicle-road-transportation environment, and the rise of multilayer complex network research has opened new ideas to solve the urban traffic congestion problem. At present, most studies on urban traffic congestion on multi-layer networks focus on analyzing the relationship between urban traffic carrying capacity, traffic network topology, and road congestion.Only a few scholars have considered the dynamic characteristics of coupling propagation between traffic congestion and various factors such as information and traveler behavior, and no systematic and complete theoretical system has been formed in relevant studies. Therefore, based on the multi-layer network analysis method, this paper comprehensively considers the dynamic characteristics of coupling communication of urban traffic congestion, such as the propagation of various early warning information, traffic flow changes, traveler preferences, and selection behaviors, etc.,to construct the coupling communication model of urban traffic congestion based on multi-layer network. The main research work and content of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)A variety of coupling communication models of early warning information and traffic congestion are constructed, and the interaction between the diffusion of different early warning information and traffic congestion communication is discussed.Based on the coupled propagation model, the dynamic equation was constructed, and the threshold of congestion outbreak under the action of multiple warning information was deduced by using the micro-Markov chain(MMCA).Finally,a simulated road network is constructed according to the road topology characteristics of domestic typical cities, and the coupled propagation model is simulated. The simulation results show that promoting the spread of "fast speed" warning information and inhibiting the spread of "short distance" warning information can play a positive role in reducing traffic congestion pressure.(2)A dual-layer network traffic congestion coupling propagation model with the introduction of a latent state was established to explore the influence of traffic flow changes on urban traffic congestion propagation during the travel peak.Based on the coupling propagation model of multiple warning information and traffic congestion, the SEIR model is selected to describe the propagation process of traffic congestion in the urban road layer, considering the changing characteristics of traffic flow during the travel peak.At the same time, the influence of travelers’ preference selection behavior on the coupling propagation of two kinds of information and traffic congestion is also considered. Finally, simulation experiments were conducted to study the influence of latent congestion sections and travelers’ preferences on traffic congestion propagation rules. The results show that in addition to various kinds of warning information, the change in people and vehicle flow and travelers’ preferences and choice behavior can also affect the propagation characteristics of traffic congestion. |
