In modern furniture design,the return of the Han Dynasty furniture style has become a new fashion.This paper uses the iconographic method to systematically analyze the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the portrait stones,so that the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the portrait stones can be fully interpreted.Learn about the social culture of the Han Dynasty in the furniture of the Han Dynasty from the stone portraits.The stone portrait culture of the Han Dynasty is an important branch of traditional Chinese culture.The stone portraits of the Han Dynasty prevailed in the Han Dynasty and were an important carrier of the culture of the Han Dynasty.These stone portraits are rich in content,directly reflecting the spiritual beliefs and ideal pursuits of the people at that time,and provide a wealth of material materials for the study of the politics,economy,culture,religious beliefs,social customs,and artistic achievements of the Han Dynasty.This paper mainly uses Panofsky’s iconographic method: description,analysis,and interpretation to interpret the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the Han Dynasty stone carvings.From the perspective of iconography,it will sort out the categories of Han Dynasty furniture in the statistical portrait stone,summarize the development status of Han Dynasty furniture,accumulate practical data of Han Dynasty furniture research,and inject new sources into modern furniture design.The first level is to describe the "shape" of the furniture patterns in the portrait stones,mainly to explore the basic forms of the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the portrait stones.A shallow and logical description is given to the basic forms of the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the stone portraits,so that we can understand the content of the patterns more clearly.The second level is the analysis of the furniture patterns of the Han Dynasty in the portrait stone.The analysis at this stage is mainly to consider the theme concept of pattern creation and the creator’s creative mood at that time.At this time,we need to combine the story of the pattern description on the first layer with the author’s creative concept,so as to better analyze the creative intention of the pattern creator.The third level is the interpretation of the symbols and metaphors of the furniture patterns of the Han Dynasty in the portrait stones,and analyzes the inner meaning of the furniture works of the Han Dynasty in the portrait stones.From the perspective of iconography,the three-level analysis of the Han Dynasty furniture patterns in the portrait stone highlights the important issues of the inheritance and development of Han Dynasty style furniture.Based on the perspective of iconography,this paper analyzes the patterns of furniture in the Han Dynasty in the portrait stone,and discusses the value of the sustainable inheritance of the furniture of the Han Dynasty from both theoretical and practical aspects.On the other hand,it injects new sources into modern furniture design and provides more style references and design inspirations for modern Chinese furniture design.For the precious cultural heritage,we should study it with awe,so that the artistic style of Han Dynasty furniture can continue to be passed down,beautify our life in a different form,pass on our Han Dynasty furniture culture,and apply it to modern Chinese furniture.and innovate it.
