Artistic And Technical Research And Innovative Practice Of Contemporary Suzhou Embroidery

This paper studies the innovation of "art" and "method" of ornamental embroidery in Suzhou area."Art" is aesthetic characteristic and "method" is technological technique.Since the Song Dynasty ornamental embroidery became an independent art,ornamental embroidery had two important innovations in history,both of which were inseparable from the influence of painting art.The achievements of Gu Embroidery in Ming dynasties came from the breakthrough of "art".The innovation of modern simulation embroidery is "using new ideas to transport old methods",and random needlework is "using new ideas to transport new methods",so the innovation of "art" and "method" complement each other.Although the connection between embroidery and painting has existed since ancient times,it has its special development conditions under the new era environment.Facing the innovation problem of Suzhou embroidery,we should "innovate with new techniques"."New Art" draws experience from contemporary new art concepts;"New law" is the fusion and transformation of new technology and traditional process.As for how to better combine the new science and technology and transform it into an art form suitable for giving play to the advantages of Suzhou embroidery,the author tries to break through innovation from the unique "Silk beauty" of Suzhou embroidery.By using the unique Silk effect of Suzhou embroidery silk thread and assisting other embroidery materials with reflective characteristics,the three-dimensional embroidery experiment of different materials is carried out by stacking embroidery method and flip embroidery method,among which the flip embroidery method is the innovative embroidery method of the author.This embroidery method realizes the three-dimensional effect of embroidery by turning over the paper,and the flowing light sense of three-dimensional embroidery can be realized due to the streamlined contour of turning over and the reflective characteristics of embroidery materials.This three-dimensional modeling based on Suzhou embroidery can not only enrich the expressive force of embroidery,but also provide new ideas for traditional embroidery into modern design.
