The realization of human material civilization has led to an unprecedented increase in the consumption of natural resources.Environmental problems such as soil erosion,resource depletion,and species extinction have become increasingly prominent.Ecological problems have seriously threatened the survival and health of all humanity.In the face of an increasingly complex and severe ecological environment,it is urgent to change the people’s lifestyle and the production concept of enterprises.Under this background,green innovation is an inevitable choice to achieve sustainable economic and social development,and enterprises,as the pursuers of profits,pay more attention to economic interests.Although green innovation has the dual characteristics of knowledge spillage and environmental protection spillover,its positive impact takes a long time to appear.Because green innovation relies on the investment of a large amount of capital and resources of enterprises,the long investment cycle leads to insufficient motivation for green innovation in enterprises,and there is no clear answer to the question of how to allocate resources to realize both the economic interests of enterprises and pursue systemic interests(including economic interests,social interests,and ecological interests),so as to realize green innovation.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the dynamic mechanism and realization path of green innovation in enterprises in-depth.It is of great significance for Chinese enterprises to raise green innovation to the level of enterprise strategy,study the driving factors and realization path of green innovation strategy,and effectively guide and promote the implementation of green innovation strategy in parallel.The paper provides support for institutional theory,dynamic ability theory,and related research on green innovation,through in-depth analysis of the differences and similarities between different concepts of green innovation,environmental innovation,ecological innovation,and sustainable innovation,this paper sorts out the essence,connotation and extension of institutional theory,dynamic ability theory and the concept of green innovation.It integrates the driving factors and upgrading paths that affect chemical enterprises to carry out green innovation into a unified framework.Using case studies,by analyzing SINCHEM,on the one hand,it explains the complex reasons why enterprises choose green innovation and finds that factors at the institutional,market,and internal levels are the key factors for green innovation in chemical enterprises;on the other hand,it solves the problem of how to effectively implement green innovation and form a green competition.Strive for advantages,promote the green innovation and development of enterprises through the specific path of green product innovation,green process innovation,and green organization innovation,improve the green competitiveness of enterprises,and achieve sustainable economic and social development.By identifying the upgrading path of green innovation in chemical enterprises and the relationship between each path,it has certain practical guiding significance for exploring the upgrading of green innovation in chemical enterprises from a comprehensive and systematic perspective.It provides the theoretical basis and practical inspiration for truly realizing the "win-win" of environmental and economic performance and the coordinated development of the economy,environment,and society.The research results further enrich and expand the application scenarios of dynamic ability theory and institutional theory,which is conducive to the government to continuously improve the operation mechanism and function of the green market and give promotion.The enlightenment and suggestions of green innovation in industrial enterprises have enriched the theoretical system of green innovation,thus promoting the further study of green innovation.
