Wood-based panels and their products are one of the main materials for interior decoration, and they will release VOCs into the air during use.The concentration of VOCs is one of the important indicators for evaluating indoor air quality. When it exceeds a certain concentration,it will have a certain impact on health. Therefore, the research on the evaluation and treatment of VOCs of wood-based panels and their products is of great significance. This paper analyzes the VOCs in Pinus radiata D.Don,Populus cathayana and woodbased panels.Aiming at the VOCs release of wood and wood-based panels,wood-based panels and wood-based panel bookcases are heat-treated,oxidized and closed, and the treatment effect of three methods are evaluated.,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)After heat treatment,VOCs emission in pine decreased by 80%,the TVOC release rate of particleboard decreased by 80.34%,and that of wood-based bookcase decreased 69.61%;after heat treatment, the content of terpenes and alcohols in the pine, terpenes, aldehydes and alkanes in particleboard, and alkenes and aldehydes in wood-based bookcase decreased significantly.(2)After oxidation,VOCs emission in pine decreased by 67.25%,the TVOC release rate of particleboard decreased 83.18%,and that of wood-based bookcase decreased 80.18%;after oxidation, the content of terpenes and alcohols in the pine, olefins, aldehydes and amines in particleboard, and terpenes and ketones in wood-based bookcase decreased significantly.(3)After the closed treatment,VOCs emission in pine decreased by 70.36%,the TVOC release rate of particleboard decreased 93.27%,and that of man-made board bookcase decreased45.35%;after the sealing treatment, the content of terpenes and alcohols in the pine, esters, alcohols and aromatic substances with high content in particleboard, and terpenes, alkanes, aldehydes and aromatic substances in wood-based bookcase decreased significantly.
