The Impact Of CPEC On The Green Supply Chain Management Of Pakistani Firms

This study is carried out to examine the dimensions of green supply management,and the impact of technological,environmental,and organizational green practices on internal and external management.This study explores the pre-factors and post-results of GSCM practices and specifically addresses the company’s supplier management mechanism.The study has collected data from a total of 172 firms through a well-designed questionnaire consist of different parts related to different aspects of the study to accomplish the main aims of the study.The collected primary data has been arranged and tested through different reliability and validity tests to ensure that the collected data is reliable and the instrument is valid.The data is analyzed through statistical analysis such as structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses and to answer the research question to achieve the objectives of the study.At the technical level,high-level technical capabilities of enterprises assist enterprise(s)to carry out SRM as well as environmental management.At the organizational level,the importance of senior managers on GSCM has a good part in endorsing the four aspects of corporate environmental management,SRM,corporate supervision and evaluation of suppliers,and cooperation with suppliers.Additionally,the larger the scale of the company could be resulting in the better performance of enterprises in GSCM,the larger the scale of the company,the more it attaches importance to the strategic development of GSCM.In addition,foreign-funded companies have comparatively better practices in GSCM than local companies.Also,from management approaches and mechanisms to management culture and concepts,foreign-funded companies are significantly better than local companies in terms of their own environmental management and SRM;from implementation time of GSCM perspective,the time to implement GSCM.The longer the company’s performance in the parts of environmental management,SRM,monitoring and evaluation of suppliers,and cooperation with suppliers.In addition,the management is found to be better such as foreign-funded firms obtained social and environmental certifications which provides assistance to the enterprises for conducting environmental protection.At the environmental level,the enterprises could be promoted in order to strengthen environmental management and SRM through the strengthening of the legal environment and supervision.
