| In the post-epidemic era and the era of digital transformation and upgrading of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, the dynamic and complex competitive environment makes enterprises no longer participate in the competition as isolated subjects, but use the supply chain collaboration network to obtain core resources and competitive advantages. With the aggravation of air pollution and other problems, severe environmental problems are becoming the focus of attention in the world, and the business philosophy of green management is gradually integrated with supply chain management.Green supply chain management can promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional supply chain with manufacturing as the core to the low-carbon supply chain. It has many advantages, such as reducing resource waste, saving costs, improving ecological reputation and creating profit opportunities, etc.Green supply chain management puts the theory of sustainable development into practice, and therefore has attracted wide attention. In recent years, relevant studies have not considered the impact of green supply chain management on enterprise long-term and short-term performance from the perspective of enterprise growth. At the same time, most of the current researches are based on static practice and lack the introduction of situational factors. For supply chain enterprises, there is a lack of relevant researches on their role in green supply chain management. In view of China’s traditional long-term orientation cultural background, this study believes that long-term orientation is an informal institutional constraint, whose long-term orientation may affect the preference or synergy of enterprises and their supply chain partners in adopting green management practices. At the same time, facing the background of digital transformation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises in reality,it is necessary to further analyze the relationship between enterprise digital capability and enterprise growth based on the theory of dynamic capability. Therefore, based on the perspective of supply chain, this study selects Chinese small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises as the research object, and explores the influence of internal and external green management practices on enterprise long-term and short-term performance from the perspective of enterprise growth.Based on resource-based view and dynamic capability theory,long-term orientation and digital capability are included in the analysis framework, and the moderating effects of both are examined.Through the empirical analysis of 213 questionnaire data, the results show that: internal and external green management has a positive impact on enterprise long-term and short-term performance;Long-term orientation positively moderates the positive relationship between internal and external green management and enterprise long-term performance, but negatively moderates the positive relationship between external green management and enterprise shortterm performance.Digital capability positively moderates the positive relationship between internal and external green management and enterprise long-term performance, but has no moderating effect on short-term performance. This study has enriched the existing theoretical research and contributed to the application and development of sustainable development theory,resource-based view and dynamic capability theory in the field of green supply chain management. In terms of supply chain enterprise management practice, from the perspective of enterprise growth, emphasis should be placed on the role of cultural factors in green supply chain management, enterprises should focus on long-term performance rather than short-term performance and opportunism, and enhance the dynamic capability of enterprises by improving their digital capabilities, which can significantly improve their long-term competitive advantages. The results of this study can help supply chain enterprises to carry out green management practices more effectively by using soft power and hard power. |
