In the past few decades,up-conversion(UC)photoluminescence(PL)materials have gained increasing attention for their ability to absorb multiple low-energy long-wave radiations,thus turning infrared light invisible to the human eyes into visible light.Rare-earth doped UC compounds have the advantages of high luminescence efficiency.Their output wavelength has the advantage of certain tunability and long life.They have broad applications in bioimaging,multidimensional displays,anti-counterfeit sensors and biomedical diagnostics.So far,many researchers have been trying to improve the strength of UC by tuning the internal microstructure or changing the outside environment,involving the combination of non-lanthanide ions,controlling the content of sensitizers and activators,and the creation of core-shell architectures.In this paper,the luminescence enhancement of Na YF4:Yb3+/Tm3+and Y2O3:Er3+,Y2O3:Yb3+/Er3+with non-lanthanide ions Zr4+under 980 nm excitation has been investigated as follows.1.Study of luminescence properties of Zr4+-doped Na YF4:Yb3+,Tm3+crystals under980 nm excitation.In the Na YF4:20 mol%Yb3+,0.5 mol%Tm3+,x mol%Zr4+(x=0,2,4,6,8,10)crystals,the UC luminescence intensity of the crystals increased with the increase of Zr4+concentration,the emission intensity reached the maximum when the Zr4+doping concentration reached 4 mol%.The main reason for the increased emission intensity of the micrometer crystals is that the Zr4+ion doping leads to a change in the local symmetry around the Tm3+ions,which results in an increase in the luminescence intensity of the Tm3+ions.This is important for further studies of upconversion luminescent materials doped with non-lanthanide Zr4+ions.2.The luminescence properties of Zr4+/Er3/Yb3+co-doped Y2O3phosphors under 980nm excitation were investigated.In the synthesized Y2O3:1 mol%Er3+,x mol%Zr4+(x=0,2,4,6,8,10)phosphor,the upconversion luminescence intensity of the phosphor increased with the increase of Zr4+concentration,and the emission intensity reached the maximum when the Zr4+doping concentration reached 2 mol%.In the synthesized Y2O3:1 mol%Er3+,2 mol%Yb3+,x mol%Zr4+(x=0,2,4,6,8,10)phosphor,the upconversion luminescence intensity of the phosphor increased with the increase of Zr4+concentration,and the emission intensity reached the maximum when the Zr4+doping concentration reached 4mol%.SEM spectra showed the synthesized Y2O3phosphor samples,and the XRD spectra also maintained consistency with the standard card Y2O3consistent.This provides a reference for studying the luminescence properties and fluorescence lifetime of non-lanthanide ion samples with different doping concentrations.
