Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On Urban Green Innovation In Anhui

Anhui Province,a large component of the Yangtze River Delta,has recently enjoyed tremendous economic growth,but the ensuing consumption of energy and natural resources has grown significantly.Therefore,the harmonious development between economy and environment has become a problem to be solved.In recent years,Anhui Province has been actively promoting the Yangtze River Delta Regional Innovation Development Community in accordance with the National 13 th Five-Year Plan,making technological innovation an important driver of economic development,accelerating the transformation of the urban natural environment,and focusing on enhancing the city’s green innovation capacity.With the steady development of China’s digital economy,the total amount of digital economy in Anhui Province has now reached more than three times the proportion of GDP,and the digital economy is increasingly becoming a huge driving force for economic growth,so this paper tries to analyze how the digital economy can promote green development to achieve more efficient economic development.Using 16 prefecture-level cities in Anhui Province’s panel data from 2011 to 2019 as its experimental sample,measuring each city’s capacity for a digital economy using the entropy value method.The study then assesses the relevant impacts of each city’s level of green innovation on the development of the digital economy as well as the impact of the effect mechanism.First,the paper tested the positive effect of digital economy development on green innovation level by using fixed-effects model,and the results were still valid after the robustness tests by lagged factor analysis,instrumental variable analysis and replacement factor analysis.Finally,a heterogeneity analysis was conducted on regional differences and city size differences among cities,and the results show that the digital economy promotes green innovation more significantly in the northern Anhui region than in the central and southern Anhui regions,as well as the small and medium-sized cities play a greater role.Through an in-depth study,the following policy recommendations are proposed in conjunction with the findings: first,to strengthen local financial support and drive social capital investment,to further increase the government’s financial support for new digital infrastructure and big data industrialization,and to bring into play the positive influence of the digital economy in the process of enterprises’ promotion of green technological innovation.Secondly,through effectively activating the accumulation of reasonable social capital and human capital,we should further broaden the information transmission pathway of using digital economy to promote enterprise green technology innovation,and strengthen and expand the positive effect of enterprise digital business behavior on industrial green technology innovation.Finally,in view of the current unbalanced development of local green innovation level,each prefecture-level city in Anhui Province should establish customized policies for green innovation activities,pay attention to local conditions in strengthening the collaboration of innovation and green development according to the current economic development status of each prefecture-level city,and coordinate the relationship between economic development and environmental development of each prefecture-level city by adopting targeted investment policies,so as to truly promote green innovation activities The following are some of the key words of this paper.
