| Pulp concentration is an important parameter in the production of the mineral processing industry,which has a significant impact on the economic indicators of the mineral processing technology.Due to the harsh operating environment,uneven pulp composition,entrained bubbles,easy pulp precipitation,and lack of professional maintenance personnel,the commonly used pulp concentration detectors on the market have unsatisfactory performance in practical applications.To address the shortcomings of existing pulp concentration detectors,a gravitybased online pulp concentration detector was designed based on in-depth research on domestic and foreign pulp concentration detection methods,principles,advantages,disadvantages,and applications.The measurement principle of the instrument is to obtain a certain volume of pulp and measure its weight.Then,the density of the pulp is calculated through a mathematical model,and the concentration of the pulp is obtained through the relationship between density and concentration.The gravity-based pulp concentration detector mainly consists of a measuring and controlling host,weighing sensor device,sampling device,sample collection device,stirring device,and cleaning device.When the instrument is in operation,the pulp is automatically collected through the sampling device.When the pulp flows through the sample collection device,the weighing sensor device measures the mass of the pulp in the sample collection device and sends an electrical signal to the measuring and controlling host.The host calculates the concentration data of the pulp and displays it.When it is necessary to stop the measurement,the cleaning device will automatically open,and the cleaning water will wash the sample collection device to prevent pulp precipitation from blocking the instrument.This article studied and designed the gravity-based pulp concentration detector from three aspects: components,circuits,and software.The component aspect includes the design of the weighing unit,pulp stirring device,and sampling device.The circuit part uses STM32F303 as the core,which consists of clock circuit,reset circuit,data storage circuit,anti-interference circuit,ST-Link download debugging circuit,signal amplification and A/D conversion circuit,communication circuit,D/A output and signal conditioning circuit,motor drive circuit,etc.The software part includes a series of driver programs,weight signal acquisition programs,LCD display programs,matrix keyboard management programs,human-machine interaction interface,filtering programs,etc.Finally,a prototype of the gravity-based pulp concentration detector was developed,and an experimental and testing system was established for the prototype.The application test showed that the concentration detector has high measurement accuracy,strong adaptability,and good reliability,meeting the needs of industrial applications. |
