Traditional MQL has problems such as insufficient cooling performance and detrimental to the surrounding environment and human body.In order to improve these two problems,this paper proposes to carry out coaxial electrostatic atomization test with mixed vegetable oil as the external fluid and water as the internal fluid.Vegetable oils such as castor oil have the characteristics of degradability,cleaning,high yield and high viscosity,but castor oil cannot be used alone as an external fluid for coaxial electrostatic atomization due to too large viscosity,poor fluidity and low conductivity.Castor oil has high saturated fatty acid content,and after mixing with other vegetable oils,esterification reaction occurs under high temperature and high pressure,so that castor oil is isomerically modified,which can effectively improve the wetting performance of castor oil,so castor oil is selected as the base oil for mixed vegetable oil.The specific research work of coaxial electrostatic atomization is as follows:1.Study on coaxial electrostatic atomization mode and morphology of mixed vegetable oilUsing water as the internal fluid,castor oil,LB2000 and castor oil were mixed with rapeseed oil,soybean oil,sunflower oil and palm oil(2:1,1:1,1:2,1:3)as external fluids,and the coaxial electrostatic atomization test was carried out to study the influence of voltage,external/internal fluid combination on atomization morphology and stability.The common voltage range of each atomization mode under different external/internal fluid combinations was obtained,and the most suitable voltage was determined to be-7.5k V;in general,the external fluid was castor oil mixed with four vegetable oils to increase the atomization cone angle and reduce the atomization cone length,among which castor oil and sunflower oil(1:1)mixed with atomization effect was excellent,compared with the use of castor oil as the external fluid,the atomization cone angle increased by 9.5%~30.8%,and the atomization cone length decreased by 15.2%~35.9%.2.Study on the charge performance of mixed vegetable oil-based coaxial electrostatic atomizationMeasure the atomization current on the platform and study the influence of external/internal fluid combination on atomization current and stability.It was concluded that the external fluid was castor oil mixed with four vegetable oils to improve the charge performance,among which castor oil and sunflower oil(1:3)had excellent charging performance after mixing,and the charging performance increased by 13%~27.1% compared with LB2000 as the external fluid.Among them,castor oil and soybean oil(2:1)have excellent atomization stability after mixing,and the atomization stability performance is increased by 3.2%~9.1% compared with LB2000 as an external fluid.3.Mixed vegetable oil-based coaxial electro-wetting performanceMeasure the surface tension on the platform and study the influence of voltage and external/internal fluid combination on the surface tension of composite droplets.It is concluded that with the increase of voltage,the surface tension of the charged composite droplet decreases;The external fluid was castor oil mixed with four vegetable oils to reduce the surface tension of charged composite droplets,among which castor oil and sunflower oil(1:3)mixed with the surface tension of charged composite droplets was small,and the surface tension was reduced by 0.3%~9.6% compared with LB2000 as the external fluid.Measure the wetting angle of charged composite droplets on the platform and study the effects of voltage and external/internal fluid combination on the wetting angle of composite droplets.The wetting angle of the charged composite droplet is positively correlated with the surface tension of the charged composite droplet.The wetting angle of the charged composite droplets was smaller after the external fluid was mixed with castor oil and sunflower oil(1:3),and the wetting angle was reduced by 3.2%~9.1% compared with LB2000 as the external fluid.4.The effect of external/internal fluid combination on coaxial electrostatic atomization cutting performanceMeasure milling force,temperature on the platformand and study the influence of external/internal fluid combination on milling force and temperature.It was concluded that the milling force of castor oil and sunflower oil(1:1)was the smallest after mixing,and the milling force was reduced by 1.1%~1.3% compared with LB2000 for external fluids.The milling temperature is minimal when castor oil is mixed with palm oil(1:2),and the milling temperature is reduced by 7.2%~11.5% compared to the use of LB2000 for external fluids.The external fluid is castor oil mixed with other vegetable oils can effectively reduce the wear of cemented carbide tools,among which castor oil and palm oil(1:2)mixed,compared with LB2000,VBmean is reduced by 23.8%.In general,the low-cost mixed vegetable oil can completely replace LB2000 as an external fluid in the coaxial electrostatic atomization process,and has the same or better effect as LB2000.
