Study On The Art Practice And Application Of Tie-dyeing Technology On Vegetable Tanned Cow Leather

Tie-dye craft is a glorious traditional craft in China.Under the background of diversified aesthetic needs of the times,the single expression form of traditional tie-dye needs to be further researched,developed and broken through,so that it can be integrated into contemporary life and be better inherited and developed.Based on the current social background of cultural revival and cultural confidence advocated by the state,this study starts from exploring the artistic value of traditional handicraft of tie-dye,takes the innovation and application of tie-dye on vegetable-tanned leather as an example,and conducts in-depth analysis and experiments in terms of multiple crossover of tie-dye process,multiplicity of material combinations,richness of space shaping,and breadth of application,etc.,and explores the diverse ways in the form and application of tie-dye and vegetable-tanned leather after meeting.We have explored a variety of ways to explore the forms and applications of tie-dye and vegetable tanned leather.In terms of process forms,the innovative fusion of tie-dye vegetable tanned leather with multiple materials such as soft fiber,wood and metal,as well as multiple processes such as lacquer,embroidery,collage and weaving,has been carried out in an experimental manner,resulting in new changes and breakthroughs in terms of material medium and process technology.It also broadens the theoretical research of tie-dyeing process on vegetable tanned leather and complements the current research in this field.In the artistic practice of this research,we will integrate innovative thinking,try new ideas in the field of bag design,jewelry design and daily necessities design,enrich its artistic language,and find a breakthrough for its integration into the current life,so that this ancient craft can be revitalized and reborn.
