Research On Overseas Production Mode Of LCD TV Based On Industrial Engineering

Currently,Chinese companies have set up production bases oversea,most of which are achieved through mergers and acquisitions or joint ventures.Therefore,overseas production lines have been formed before joint ventures or mergers and acquisitions,because of historical development,the production lines of overseas factories are mostly made by Japanese,Korean companies according to the CRT TV age.The production line technological process had been established,That was difficult for the Chinese companies modifying it in the later period.It is necessary for Chinese companies to study a new production model suitable for overseas factories after joint venture or merger and acquisition.At present,the LCD TV production line has generally adopted the "one stream" design and production in the Chinese manufacturing companies,and the balance of a flow production line directly affects the production line’s productivity and efficiency.Therefore,the company must solve a problem: the line of balance(LOB),whatever it is the design or modification of the production line.This paper first introduces the development process of LCD TV industry and the problems faced at the present stage.Through the overseas factories of Chinese companies,the Chinese LCD TV manufacturing base represented by TCL are expounded.The production model of Mexico factory is selected as the research object,in order to improve the LOB balance and capacity of production line,the basic principle of industrial engineering in using.In particular,the study of LOB and cycle time(CT),and the method of combining theory with practice,this paper was been study of the LOB measurement and shortening the rhythm.In combination with the lean production "faster,better,cheaper,closer",the application of Eliminate,Combine,Rearrange,Simplify(ECRS),5W and other method to import appropriate auto testing and auto assembly equipment,and through data analysis,A new type of "twins production mode" for overseas factories is proposed.This paper expounds the new concept –“ Twins production mode”,and studies the practical application of the Twins mode.Through the field observation,the measured data and the analysis of the Mexico factory,the current process program and process program of the production line are analyzed,the core problem was been found,using a big size pallet with two small size TV sets.After study further “Twins mode” of process,LOB,Automatic and so on items.The best match point of twins production mode has been obtained,which improves the efficiency of UPPH 60%,increases the output from 145 to more than 200 unit per hour,and increases the daily output from 3-4thousand to 6-7 thousand,and the increase rate was more than 70%.To reduce the company operation cost and improve the delivery capacity of TCL factory in Mexico,and ultimately enhance the competitiveness of TCL in the Americas area.
