Research On The Cultural Space Of Shanxi Ancestral Halls From The Perspective Of Social Memory

Ancestral hall architecture is an important place to worship ancestors,is the material manifestation of clan culture,and is the product of China’s hierarchical feudal society.Therefore,both "material space" and "non-material space" in ancestral hall architecture are the embodiment of strict ethical and religious order.This article takes the ancestral temple in Shanxi area as the research object,based on understanding the theories and field investigations of ancestral temples at home and abroad,and from the perspectives of sociology,geography,and anthropology from a multidisciplinary perspective,the starting point is the spatial form of the ancestral temple building.The three aspects of the clan culture in Shanxi,the cultural characteristics of the ancestral temple,and the evolution and construction of the ancestral temple’s social memory are analyzed.The internal relationship between the ancestral temple’s cultural space and social memory in Shanxi area is summarized through different levels of research.The social value and historical significance of cultural space.The dissertation first described the influence of geographical overview and historical culture on the generation and development of Shanxi clan culture and ancestral architecture from a macro perspective;secondly,it carried out aspects of the physical space,psychological space,social space,and architectural characteristics of ancestral temple buildings in different behavior modes Specific analysis and research;Finally,the characteristics of the spatial evolution of the ancestral temple in Shanxi are analyzed in depth,and the path of social memory sharing and reconstruction of the ancestral temple cultural space is proposed.He researched the cultural space of the ancestral temple in Shanxi area to arouse the local people ’s cultural identity and social memory.At the same time,he explored the strategy of social memory protection and inheritance in the context of the development of the ancestral temple culture in the new era,thereby promoting the ancestral temple culture in Shanxi area.Development and enhance the cultural self-confidence of the Chinese nation.
