| At present,the global political and economic situation is changing rapidly,and the competitive environment facing enterprises is becoming increasingly fierce.After years of rapid development,many technology companies have gradually stabilized or even declined their business and market.In order to maintain competitiveness and explore new fields suitable for company development,they have to seek strategic transformation.Cisco is a world-renowned technology company and the world’s largest network equipment supplier.Strategic transformation is a major strategic decision of the enterprise.Based on cisco as the research object,this paper describes the cisco since 2016 from hardware equipment suppliers to the transformation of the development process,software service providers from the macro environment and industrial environment analysis the reason of the transformation of cisco,are analyzed from the points of view of enterprise resource cisco transformation ability,and to the transformation of cisco’s decision and implementation are analyzed.It can be concluded that the general framework of strategic transformation of technology companies in the dynamic environment is as follows:transformation background analysis,transformation ability assessment,transformation decision selection,transformation implementation strategy.It is hoped that this framework can provide reference or inspiration for the strategic transformation of the same type of technology companies.This paper takes enterprise strategic transformation,dynamic environment influence and characteristics of enterprise strategic transformation under dynamic environment as theoretical basis.Use PEST,SWOT,five Forces model and other analysis methods;Select Cisco as a case,focus on cisco’s strategic transformation process,according to the background and reasons of strategic transformation,enterprise resources and transformation ability,strategic transformation decision,strategic transformation implementation as the framework of research.First,PEST and five Forces models are used to analyze the transformation environment from the macro and industrial perspectives respectively.Secondly,it analyzes the resources conducive to transformation from the corporate culture and customer channels owned by the enterprise.Then,SWOT is used to analyze the transformation direction to establish the transformation mode.Finally,according to the different stages of Cisco’s transformation,the transformation strategies adopted in each stage are analyzed.Finally,according to the study of cisco’s transformation process,the paper analyzes the problems found in this process,and summarizes the basic model of the strategic transformation process of technology companies. |
