| The development and application of weaving as a traditional design technique in architecture have never been interrupted.Wood structure as a traditional building material is still in use today.Wood structure combine with the weaving,shows the origin of traditional architecture,and the form connotation and humanistic value is different from other materials.In the digital time,the architectural design is supported by parameterization software and machinery,which fundamentally improves the operability of the generation and construction of the woven complex form,and quickly adjusts and modifies the design scheme according to the different design constraints.Research in weaving for buildings,no matter from the aspects of construction,morphological characteristics or digitization,most of the research is based on "interwoven" weaving.focusing on "unit" of weaving research has not yet appeared,but independent,discrete,modular unit design is gradually becoming mainstream,so unit woven with wood as the breakthrough point in the thesis,discusses three kinds of wooden unit braiding forms of line,surface and mass from the dual perspectives of architectural function symbol and technical expression.This paper summarizes the basic theory-digital formation-digital construction,and puts forward its formative methods and construction strategies.The main research contents and results are as follows:1)Compared with other materials,wood weave shows different directions in system,space and structure.With the assistance of digital technology,which has plasticity and regeneration in the material,and the space formed has a strong sense of affinity and transparency,and has the ability of multi-solution and formation of complex shapes and precise operation.2)Based on the most basic idea of "knot",this thesis summarizes the related characteristics and components of wood unit weaving,namely the diversity of "rope"(form pattern)and "knot"(combination pattern)."Rope" includes: line,plane and body three types of unit mode;"Knot" includes stack,intersperse and connect three kinds.3)Write different algorithms to discuss the possibility and reliability of the weave form generation of line,surface and mass units.Line unit includes line unit and curve unit.The former focuses on the lightness of buildings,while the latter discusses the combination strategy of forms.Surface unit include closed surface elements and open surface elements.The former discusses the subdivision of spatial surfaces;The latter discusses the element splicing mode according to the geometry type.Mass unit includes progressive mass element and non-asymptotic mass element.The former focuses on the combination logic of line,surface and mass.The latter explores the bulk element polymerization based on a single unit.Finally,the adaptation standards and formative strategies of different units in architectural space streamline,skin and structural system are summarized.4)In the actual construction,different construction strategies are proposed to cope with different environments,and the flow-type construction with the help of numerical control equipment such as mechanical arm and laser cutting machine is discussed.Line unit construction discusses the feasibility of transforming digital model into physical model;The material properties of wood in braided form were studied by the construction of surface unit.The construction of mass unit shows a complete and systematic construction process,and discusses the construction of a complete unit made of wood by robotic arm assisted constructionThe unit weaving method listed in this thesis is a design pattern proposed under the wood as the medium with the help of digital tools,and discusses "how to weave".By summarizing the architectural characteristics,generating methods,digital metaforming logic and digital construction process of the unit braided form,this paper provides a new design reference for architectural design. |
