| With the development of society and the gradual improvement of national living conditions,the pursuit of healthy diet has been unprecedented satisfied.People also put forward higher requirements for diet related cooking.With the "kitchen economy",the market of small household appliances in kitchen cooking has been continuously subdivided,and more and more attention has been paid to the satisfaction of various needs of consumers.However,some problems also arise: due to bad eating habits,the obesity rate of teenagers and children in China is increasing year by year,and the waste of campus catering is also very serious.Under this background,food education focusing on the cultivation of children’s healthy eating habits is constantly mentioned,and the behavior of encouraging children to participate in family meal preparation activities is increasingly recognized and practiced by the public.Therefore,under the trend that the kitchen has gradually become the focus of family life,how to meet the use needs of children’s users and undertake the role of food education for children has become a problem that designers need to think about.This study is divided into three stages: theoretical overview-research and analysis-design practice.First stage is the theoretical overview related to the study.Firstly,it expounds the definition of sensory-based food education(SBFE)and puts forward the connotation of children’s involvement in home-meal preparation;Secondly,it summarizes the multisensory learning,and analyzes the application of design in multisensory learning by listing the design cases of the theme of SBFE;Then,it summarizes the analysis of product perceptual elements,combined with the purpose of multisensory learning,uses Maslow’s demand hierarchy theory to establish the corresponding relationship between different levels of demand and different perceptual elements of products,and puts forward the research idea of mining user demand-determining the corresponding product perceptual elements-guiding the design.The second stage includes user demand research and product research.In the part of user demand research,firstly,we understand the macro situation of children’s participation in family meal preparation through questionnaire;Then conduct in-depth interviews to understand the pain points and needs of users and establish portraits;Using ELAN video analysis software to analyze the specific behavior of children participating in family meal preparation,and summarize the sensory needs of children.In the product research part,analyze the existing children’s cooking products,and select the auxiliary food cooking machine with more integrated functions to analyze its product structure and human-machine interaction.The perceptual elements of the product are analyzed in combination with the needs of users,and then the analytic hierarchy process is used to establish the hierarchical structure of the design factors of children’s cooking machine products,and get the suggestions on the design strategy.The third stage is the design practice of children’s cooking machine products.Based on the above research,a design strategy framework is established to guide the development of design practice.The design composition of children’s cooking machine includes the cooking area and mixing area of the main body of the product,food pretreatment accessories and picture book instructions.The visual language of the product is more unified through the design of brand name and logo.The 3D printing technology is used to make the physical model and conduct the usability test to evaluate the usability and ease of use of the product.Finally,the sensory evaluation technology is used to evaluate and verify the children’s cooking machine from the perspective of sensory perception.Taking sensory food education as the starting point,multi sensory integration theory as the research means,and exploring the possibility of finding the functional carrier of food education in the family environment as the goal,this study analyzes the sensory needs of children participating in the process of family meal preparation,and puts forward innovative solutions for the design of children’s cooking machine products,so as to provide theoretical reference and practical experience for the design of kitchen cooking small household appliances considering children’s needs,Promote the construction of family food education atmosphere,improve children’s eating habits and promote children’s healthy growth. |
