| With the rapid development of domestic economy and tourism, new self-driving tours,RV travel and other travel modes are gradually rising. The trailer-mounted RV set ’ clothes, food, housing, travel ’ in one,and gradually favored by tourists. The trailer-mounted RV needs to connect to the tractor with the connection device as its own power source. In the process of driving,it is prone to violent swing of the rear trailer, folding of the tractor and the trailer, which is easy to cause traffic accidents. This paper comes from a company trailer-mounted RV development project. In this paper, the lateral stability test method of the trailer-mounted RV was studied. The lateral stability of the RV was analyzed through the snake real vehicle test and simulation test,steady-state rotary simulation test, braking simulation test, single lane change simulation test and pulse input simulation test. The relevant structural parameters affecting the lateral stability of the RV were studied and the corresponding design suggestions were put forward,in order to provide some references for the design and development of the RV enterprise and the operation and use of the tourists.Details are as follows:Firstly, according to the structural characteristics of trailer-mounted RV combination, the dynamic model of trailer-mounted RV combination was established.According to the relevant parameters of a trailer-mounted RV combination provided by the enterprise,Car Sim software was used to model the trailer-mounted RV combination tire system, load system and traction connection device.According to the national standard,a real vehicle snake test was carried out to verify the reliability of the simulation model, and the lateral stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination was preliminarily analyzed.Secondly, the typical instability forms and instability mechanism of the trailer-mounted RV combination were analyzed, and the steady-state steering characteristics and braking stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination were theoretically analyzed. The steady-state response of the trailer-mounted RV combination was analyzed, and the steady-state steering simulation test was designed. The simulation results show that the tractor matches the trailer-mounted RV reasonably, and the trailer-mounted RV combination has insufficient steering characteristics. The braking force of trailer-mounted RV combination was analyzed, and the braking simulation test was designed. The simulation results show that the rear axle braking locking of tractor is the most dangerous condition, which lead to the danger of folding between tractor and trailer.Reasonable braking force distribution coefficient is conducive to the stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination.Thirdly, according to the national standard, pulse input test and single lane change test were designed to simulate and analyze the emergency steering and high-speed lane change of the trailer-mounted RV combination. On this basis, the influences of the tongue weight of the trailer-mounted RV,the moment of inertia of the trailer-mounted RV,the mass of the trailer-mounted RV,the lateral stiffness of the trailer-mounted RV tire, the load distribution change of the trailer-mounted RV,and the left and right deviation of the centroid of the trailer-mounted RV on the lateral stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination were analyzed. The simulation results show that the tongue weight of the trailer-mounted RV and the moment of inertia of the trailer-mounted RV have great influence on the stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination, and the tongue weight of the trailer-mounted RV accounts for about 10% of the total mass of the trailer-mounted RV.Reducing the rotational inertia of the trailer-mounted RV is conducive to the stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination;the left and right deviation of the centroid of the trailer-mounted RV can reduce the stability of the trailer-mounted RV;increasing the lateral stiffness of the trailer-mounted RV tire is conducive to improving the stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination;changing the mass of the trailer-mounted RV alone does not significantly affect stability. Finally, the optimization test scheme based on the response surface model was designed. The tongue weight of the trailer-mounted RV,the inertia of the trailer-mounted RV,the mass of the trailer-mounted RV and the lateral stiffness of the trailer-mounted RV tire were taken as the optimization design variables. The rear amplification coefficient of the yaw rate was taken as the optimization objective. The performance indexes of the trailer-mounted RV combination before and after optimization were compared and analyzed. The results show that the optimization scheme improves the stability of the trailer-mounted RV combination. |
