| China will establish a new model in which central cities lead the development of urban agglomerations and urban agglomerations drive regional development in the future. As an important part of modern comprehensive transportation system,high-speed rail not only shortens the space-time distance between cities and strengthens the interaction and exchange between cities, but also plays an obvious axial guiding role in the allocation of factor resources and the spatial structure of economic network of urban agglomeration, which has an impact on the economic spatial structure of urban agglomeration. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the largest in northern my country,is an important carrier for promoting the high-quality development of the national economy. As the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei high-speed rail network gradually takes shape, the high-speed rail will continue to change the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. Therefore, exploring the evolution process and characteristics of economic spatial structure of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration under the influence of high-speed rai is of great significance to promote the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, optimize the regional economic spatial pattern and promote the balanced development of regional economy.Based on the sample data of 14 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration from 2007 to 2019,this paper uses the modified gravity model and social network analysis method to construct the economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration.Ucinet and Arc GIS software are used to explain the changes in the overall network form and the spatial gathering and diffusion effect of the economic connection of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration with the continuous improvement of the high-speed rail network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration from the two levels of the overall network and individual nodes. The multi-form ERGM model is used to simulate the economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration at different time and analyzes the influencing factors of the economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration before and after the opening of the high-speed rail from the three aspects of network endogenous structure variables, city individual attribute variables and city network covariates, static and dynamic perspectives, and then comprehensively reveals the impact of the high-speed rail on the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. The results show that:(1)The opening of the high-speed rail has strengthened the economic connection between the cities of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. The total economic connection of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has increased significantly. The economic development within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has tended to be polarized, but the Matthew effect of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has weakened recently.(2)In2019,the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has basically formed an economic connection network structure with a radial extension of "core hub + cities along the high-speed rail".The economic connection network tends to be complicated, and the overall network density is increasing year by year.(3)With the continuous improvement of the high-speed rail network, the centrality of overall city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration continues rising, and the economic space effect presents the node characteristics of "high gathering and low diffusion in central cities, high diffusion and low gathering in transitional cities, and low diffusion and low gathering in marginal cities" and the transmission mode of "node city +circle-level decreasing".The sensitivity of the gathering effect and the diffusion effect is decreasing, and the spatial distribution of the agglomeration effect is becoming more and more balanced. The economic spatial structure of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration is evolving from aggregation to diffusion and the economic spatial structure is increasingly optimized.(4)The economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration is significantly affected by the level of urban economic development, population status, economic agglomeration and diffusion capacity, the level of transportation infrastructure construction and the existing economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration in the past. However, the high-speed rail frequency network hasn’t made a significant impact on the economic connection network of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration in2019 and the high-speed rail network structure of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration needs to be further optimized.Main contributions:(1)It is proposed that the regional economic spatial structure is composed of five basic elements: points, lines, circles, networks, and domains that are constrained by economic activities and explains the concept of five essential elements of the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration under the influence of high-speed rail.(2)On the basis of fully considering the impact of high-speed rail on the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the economic spatial effects of node cities are analyzed, and the sensitivity changes of urban gathering and dispersion effects are proposed.(3)Apply the ERGM model to the study of the economic connection network of urban agglomerations and reveal the influencing factors of the economic connection network of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration before and after the opening of the high-speed rail from many aspects and angles.(4)In view of the research conclusions of this paper, combined with the actual situation of the research object, put forward reasonable policy suggestions to optimize the economic spatial structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. |
