| In the midst of global ecological warnings and frequent extreme weather,China proposed in 2020 the goal of peaking CO2emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.This signifies that China has to increase its carbon emission reduction efforts and enhance its carbon absorption capacity, and social, economic and industrial development has officially entered the double carbon era.As the main force in reducing carbon emissions, the development of new energy enterprises has also received the country’s key attention. As the main force in carbon emission reduction in the transportation industry,we should pay more attention to the development status of new energy automobile enterprises under the"double carbon"target, and improve the financial performance of enterprises. This paper explores and answers this question. This paper first reviews relevant research by domestic and international scholars to find the research direction.Relevant concepts and theories are defined to determine the analytical methods used in the empirical study. It then describes the background to the proposed dual carbon policy and the implementation path proposed, analyses the current state of development of the new energy vehicle industry and analyses the factors affecting new energy vehicle companies in the context of the background.Next,BYD,the subject of this paper,is introduced and the current situation of BYD’s financial performance is analysed using traditional financial performance evaluation methods. The analysis of the financial performance of BYD in the context of double carbon is based on factor analysis, and the financial performance of BYD is evaluated by combining financial and non-financial data over a five-year period with a comprehensive performance score. Finally, based on the analysis results, three recommendations were made to enterprises to clarify their long-term development strategies, strengthen the research and development of green industry-related technologies and improve cost control. |
