| The international economic activities of enterprises are increasingly frequent in the age of globalization.The government encourages enterprises to carry out international operation and accelerate the layout of overseas markets to enhance brand value and competitive advantages in the international market.As a pillar industry of China’s manufacturing industry,the automobile industry has made great contributions to economic development and the progress of the whole industrial chain,although it started late,but it has developed rapidly,China’s automotive enterprises should also seize the opportunity of international development to seek higher returns and promote the long-term development of the enterprise.Internationalization performance refers to the performance of an enterprise in the international market,which reflects the operating conditions of the enterprise in the international market.Generally,it is measured by the overseas business income and the ratio of the overseas business income to the operating income.The internationalization of Chinese automobile enterprises has experienced the embryonic stage,starting stage and rapid development stage,and has made great progress.In terms of the overseas business revenue and the ratio of overseas business revenue to business revenue,although the international operation performance of Chinese automobile enterprises has been improved,there is still a large space for improvement.Chinese auto enterprises’ international performance is influenced by many factors,such as R&D intensity,marketing ability,profitability and management ability.Based on the panel data of 43 listed automobile enterprises in China from 2010 to 2021,an econometric model was constructed to study the influencing factors of internationalization performance of automobile enterprises.The results indicate that:(1)R&D intensity has a positive influence on the internationalization performance of automobile enterprises,but the influence is not obvious;(2)Marketing ability can significantly promote the improvement of international performance of automobile enterprises;(3)Profitability will have a significant positive impact on overseas business income of automobile enterprises,but a small negative impact on the proportion of overseas business income;(4)Management ability can significantly improve the international performance of automobile enterprises.At the same time,this paper selects BYD as an automobile enterprise case,analyzes its internationalization and its internationalization performance and influencing factors.The improvement of international operation performance of Chinese automobile enterprises needs the joint efforts of enterprises and the government.In the process of international operation,automobile enterprises should pay attention to R&D and innovation and enhance core technology,adjust sales input and optimize marketing strategy,strengthen brand building and improve profitability and improve compensation management and give play to the value of senior executives.Government support is an important driving force to improve the international operation performance of Chinese automobile enterprises.Government departments should continue to promote the opening up to the outside world and advocate integration into the national strategy,promote the integration of industry,education and research,and improve the incentive system for innovation. |
