Research On Spatial Renewal Design Of Edge Of Historical And Cultural Blocks

In order to promote local history and culture,China’s historical and cultural blocks have been well protected in recent years,and various construction activities within the scope of core protection have been carried out in an orderly manner under relevant protection regulations.However,in the marginal space outside the core area,the contradiction between urban development and historical protection is particularly prominent,and the historical heritage is destroyed,the style is chaotic,and the street vitality is missing.How to deal with the relationship between urban development and historical culture protection is a subject that must be studied in the current urban renewal activities.This research focuses on the edge space of historical and cultural blocks from the perspective of literature research,case analysis,investigation and research,theory combined with empirical research and other research methods,from the two dimensions of the edge space to analyze and summarize the realistic and feasible path of historical and cultural blocks edge space renewal.Specific design strategies are put forward from the aspects of positivity and negativity,functional elements,material elements system,street space characteristics,renewal mode and so on.Finally,under the guidance of this strategy,the renewal design of Xiaodong Street district in Kunming is completed and verified by practice.
