Urban Riverside Landscape Planning And Design From The Perspective Of Regional Context

Regional context is a comprehensive embodiment of a city’s natural environment,artistic civilization and humanistic characteristics.Each city has its own context,which symbolizes the unique personality of the city and is displayed as a city card.The urban riverside space is the main display window of the city,so it undertakes the inheritance and continuation of the cultural context.Rivers are closely related to the history and development of cities.In the process of urbanization in China,riverside landscape,as the core of urban landscape and an important link of urban development,has a significant impact on enriching local characteristics,developing innovative economy and ecological construction.At present,the urban riverside landscape is facing many problems and challenges.Due to the disharmony of urban development regions,the core value of regional context for the generation of urban riverside landscape has been ignored,the regional context has not been deeply analyzed and refined,and the inherent unique regionality of urban riverside landscape has been submerged.Therefore,this paper tries to discuss the urban riverside landscape planning and design from the perspective of regional context.This research systematically collates the theoretical research contents in the field of urban riverside landscape and regional context,summarizes the principles,expression methods and strategies of regional context in urban riverside landscape design.Taking the landscape planning and design of Weihe River Park in Xi’an section as an example,on the basis of fully studying the historical and cultural resources of Xi’an,this research clarifies the positioning and goals of Xi’an riverside landscape planning and design,Formulate effective regional context selection strategies and methods,explore and select the valuable context content of Weihe River in Xi’an section from the local natural and cultural environment,and integrate it into the urban landscape planning and design to display the riverside park landscape with unique urban characteristics of Xi’an,bringing new cultural vitality to the development and construction of the city.This paper first explains the context,regional context,urban waterfront area and urban riverside landscape,as well as related concepts,expounds the current situation of the research on the combination of domestic and international riverside landscape with regional context,analyzes the constituent elements and characteristics of regional context and riverside landscape,and the interaction between them,and summarizes the important significance of regional context in the construction of urban riverside space.On the basis of theory,this paper discusses the expression methods and strategies of context in detail from the aspects of context extraction,context transformation and context utilization,proposes that the expression of regional context in urban riverside landscape design should follow the four basic principles of integrity,timeliness,regionality and ecology,and selects four excellent riverside landscape design cases to analyze the project overview,design focus and reference significance.Finally,the planning and design practice is carried out based on the riverside landscape of Weihe River in Xi’an section.The design emphasizes the overall protection concept,strictly protects historical and cultural resources,reasonably uses historical and cultural resources,and carries out the overall planning with cultural characteristics as the theme.The design scope is divided into seven functional divisions,and a special design of regional context is set up.In the special design,cultural nodes are set for the regional context,including detailed planning and design such as route planning,logo system design,and festival event planning.In addition,the expression of regional context is practiced in the actual riverside landscape design projects in terms of traffic planning,service facilities,vertical design,revetment design,etc.
