As the most high-quality green open space in the city,park green space is an important supply side for satisfying the needs of people in the new era for a better recreational life.It plays an important role in promoting the construction of high-quality living environment and sustainable urban development.In the process of development,parks and green spaces have a close and complex interaction with the urban population.As Chinese social economy shifts from high-speed growth to high-quality development,and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region has become a national strategy,accelerating the promotion of high-quality integration has become an important development direction at this stage.Strengthening urban ecological infrastructure and optimizing land use allocation are the basic support for regional green and sustainable development.However,cities with different population sizes,population densities,and temporary populations have different characteristics such as population attractiveness,population aggregation,and land use levels,which are very important for urban recreation.There are also differences in the needs of the environment,which promotes different evolutionary characteristics of the interaction between park green space and the population.Therefore,scientifically judging the interaction between urban park green space and population in the Yangtze River Delta will help to reveal the urban development process and ecological environment pattern,explore the road of people-oriented high-quality urban construction,and play a leading and exemplary role in the construction of ecological civilization in China.This paper takes "the interaction between the area of park green space and urban population" as the breakthrough point,and takes 27 cities at the prefecture level and above in the Yangtze River Delta as the research unit to explore the area of park green space in cities with different urban scales,population density and temporary population from 1996 to 2019.The interaction relationship with population and the differentiated characteristics of its role degree,and then "difference based on the city conditions",put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of park green space.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The interactive relationship between the overall park green space in the Yangtze River Delta and the urban population:(1)The two have a one-way Granger causality,that is,the urban population has a significant one-way driving effect on the park green space,while the park green space has a stronger effect on the urban population.weak.The high-urbanization stage of the Yangtze River Delta has brought a large demand for the supply of potential high-quality living environment,and the expansion of the urban population is the fundamental driving force for the growth of the total amount of park green space.(2)In the early stage of the study,the inefficient allocation of parks green space had a low degree of response to the needs of the urban population.With the deepening of urbanization,the mutual feedback between the two gradually increased and then stabilized high.(2)The interactive relationship between the park green space area and urban population in the Yangtze River Delta at the city level with different characteristics:(1)Large cities,high-density cities,and high-temporary cities show a one-way causal relationship between population and park green space area.Efficient urban function planning promotes the population’s pursuit of comprehensive development of parks and green spaces.(2)Small cities and low-density urban parks and green spaces have no significant interaction with urban population,and the effect of the two is weak.Due to the inefficient allocation of urban resources in space and the relative backwardness of urbanization level,the interaction between them is weak.(3)The park green space area in low-temporary cities has a two-way promotion effect on urban population.The comprehensive strength of low-temporary cities in the Yangtze River Delta is still higher than that of low-temporary cities in the country in the same period.Promoting the positive loop feedback of the two has a certain impact.The research is based on the "interaction between the park green space area and the urban population" in the Yangtze River Delta.Based on the whole of the Yangtze River Delta and the city level with different characteristics,it is clear whether there is a Granger causality between the two,and whether the effect is a one-way response or a two-way interaction.Further analysis of the degree of interaction between park green space area and urban population will help to correctly understand the interaction between park green space area and urban population,put forward targeted and differentiated strategies for the coordinated and symbiotic regulation of park green space construction and urban development,and promote the orderly development of the two.Coordinate and diversify development,promote the high-quality and high-level integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta,and give play to its leading and demonstration effect.
