| Cities carry human civilization, and the high-quality development of cities is currently a prominent feature of China’s economic development.Monitoring the high-quality development of cities is an important way to explore the development of modern cities. As a special data source for exploring urban development,NPP-VIIRS night-light remote sensing data can objectively and accurately reflect the development of cities to a certain extent.China’s northeast region actively integrates into China’s new era development strategy "the Belt and Road" construction policy, and strives to build the northeast region into a key window for China’s opening to the north and a core hub for communication and cooperation in Northeast Asia. This paper takes the main cities of the Northeast Passage of the China Mongolia Russia Economic Corridor along the "the Belt and Road" route as the research area, and based on the night remote sensing NPP-VIIRS data of the 2013-2020 long time series, extracts the urban built-up areas of Dalian,Shenyang,Changchun,Harbin and Manzhouli, and analyzes their spatial-temporal expansion, and constructs a spatialized simulation model of socio-economic parameters(GDP,population)indicators,In terms of geographical space,it can analyze the development situation of cities more intuitively, objectively and accurately. The research contents mainly include the following aspects:(1)Based on the NPP/VIIRS night-light remote sensing data, the total TNL of lights in the cities in the study area was extracted.By using the reference comparison method of statistical data, the NPP/VIIRS night-light remote sensing data of urban built-up areas in 2013-2020 was extracted according to the best threshold of each city in each year.Through calculation and verification, the area data of built-up areas were analyzed. It was found that the built-up areas of the cities in the study area in each year were very similar to the area data of the government’s statistical built-up areas, and the relative error was within 3%,Good accuracy.(2)Based on the BAEI index and BAES index, the scope and speed of expansion of builtup areas in four cities were analyzed, and the compactness and center of gravity migration of urban built-up areas were obtained by using the BACI index and standard deviation ellipse statistical method. The spatial-temporal expansion and change characteristics of built-up areas in four cities were analyzed, and it was found that the built-up areas in the Northeast Passage City had expanded in time and space, but the scope was not large,It is in line with the highquality development law of cities in Northeast China, which confirms that the change of urban center of gravity in the study area has convergence characteristics, and the expansion and change characteristics of built-up areas are consistent with the strategy formulated to integrate into the "the Belt and Road".(3)Using the extracted TNL and the GDP and population data as the regression analysis model, the research found that the correlation with the power function was the highest, and the average R2 reached 0.99 and 0.97 respectively.According to the results of the spatial simulation, the economic development of the cities in the study area from 2013 to 2020 was relatively slow.GDP and population were mainly concentrated in the urban center, with only a small outward diffusion. This also reflects that the northeast region is in the "new northeast stage" as a whole, the economic development level is lower than the national average level, and the development speed is also lower than the national average level. |
