Abnormal arches are the most common foot deformities.High or collapsed medial longitudinal arches will affect the elasticity and cushioning properties of the arch.Properly wearing a suitable arch orthosis helps keep the foot in a good biomechanical environment. In order to improve the adaptability of the arch orthosis to the foot and the convenience of its manufacture, this paper uses the improved foot print method to quickly classify the foot shape, and uses reverse engineering technology to quickly and efficiently match the appropriate size of the foot arch for patients with different foot shape characteristics.Support orthoses, and carry out parametric modeling, rapid generation and customized development of related procedures. Finally, the rationality and effectiveness of the orthosis design were verified by foot pressure and gait experiments. The main research contents of the paper are as follows:(1)Classification of abnormal foot arches based on foot pressure and gait.On the basis of the traditional footprint method,a convenient calculation method of foot shape classification based on the isobaric area lattice index is proposed, which can quickly classify flat feet, normal feet and high arches, and further classify flat feet into mild flat feet, moderate flat feet, and moderate flat feet.Degree flatfoot and severe flatfoot provide a data basis for the subsequent targeted design of arch orthoses;(2)Parametric design of arch orthosis. With the help of reverse engineering, complete foot models of patients with different abnormal arches were established.According to the medically defined arch area classification, the point cloud model of the patient’s foot arch area was extracted, and the model was further re-engineered by optimizing the force on the sole of the foot as the design standard.According to the plantar force characteristics of patients with mild flat feet, moderate flat feet, severe flat feet and high arches, respectively,a partial arch orthosis,a 3/4 foot orthosis with heel correction, and a forefoot orthosis were established. And the parametric model of the full-foot orthosis for heel correction, and according to the optimum height of the foot arch, the thickness of the orthosis is properly compensated;(3)Personalized customization and parametric system development of orthoses.Aiming at three different parametric modeling methods of arch orthoses, develop a personalized customization system for orthoses, realize one-click generation of models, and finally use 3D printing technology to complete physical processing;(4)The orthosis design was verified based on foot pressure and gait experiments.Based on the plantar pressure and gait-related data obtained from the foot pressure and gait experiment, the data changes before and after wearing the arch orthosis were analyzed, and the rationality and effectiveness of the orthosis design were verified with reference to the subjective evaluation of the subjects.
