With the rapid development of China’s aviation industry,the emergency rescue of aviation aircraft involved in water-related accidents has received more and more widespread attention.However,aviation life preservers,as one of the core equipment for emergency rescue in water-related accidents,have neither been paid enough attention nor widely applied.Through an analysis of data related to real-life air accidents,this paper uses the two-step multi-factor logistic regression method and costbenefit analysis method to prove the necessity of aviation life preservers,and point out the problem of insufficient positioning in traditional aviation life preservers.In order to address the problem,an aviation life preserver positioning system was developed.The system sends out distress signals through AIS and Bei Dou short message communication according to Bei Dou/GPS dual-mode satellite positioning information,so as to effectively improve the positioning of life preservers and enable people in the water to actively seek help instead of passively wait for rescue,thus greatly improving the rescue efficiency of aircraft involved in water-related accidents.The details of this paper are as follows.(1)The communication protocol of the aviation life preserver positioning system is analyzed.The Beidou/GPS positioning system,AIS communication system,and Beidou short message communication system used in the aviation life preserver positioning system are studied.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages among different communication systems,the aviation life preserver positioning system developed in this thesis is justified.(2)The hardware design of the aviation life preserver positioning system was completed.Based on function,the aviation life preserver positioning system is divided into: positioning unit,control unit,AIS communication unit and Bei Dou short message communication unit.The core of each unit is selected and the circuit schematic is designed according to performance requirements.The design principle of the power amplifier and load traction technology in the AIS communication unit as well as the design process and simulation results are detailed,and the impedance calculation and detail processing are conducted in the design of PCB.(3)The software design of the aviation life preserver positioning system was completed.Using MDK5 as the development environment,the control unit program with the STM32F103 microcontroller as the core was written in standard C language,which realized the control unit’s functions of receiving and parsing the positioning data,encoding the AIS and Bei Dou short message,control of the distress signal transmission and power control.(4)An experimental study of the aviation life preserver positioning system was conducted.The debugging experiments on core components such as Bei Dou/GPS dualmode positioning unit and power amplifier showed that the design of core components met the design objectives.The experiments on the whole positioning system show that the external AIS and Bei Dou short message communication equipment can accurately receive the distress signals containing the latitude and longitude of the person in the water,and the experimental results all meet the expectations.
