It is common for bus drivers to lose control of bus due to physical discomfort and other reasons.How to deal with such emergencies is the focus of active safety performance of bus.Based on the existing communication technology,remote control of the bus can improve the active safety of the bus and reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents in emergencies.In this paper,the design of bus vehicle remote braking control system is carried out with a certain type of domestic bus as the object,and a kind of bus vehicle remote braking strategy is innovatively proposed,and the simulation of remote braking strategy and hardware in the loop experiment are carried out.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,based on the wire braking system and the existing communication technology,a system which can realize the remote control of vehicle braking is proposed,and its principle and function are introduced in detail.Based on the analysis of hardware function,the layered control scheme of bus remote braking control system is designed.Secondly,make the bus remote braking control strategy.In view of the different braking intensity which can satisfy the safety of the traffic outside the bus and the passengers inside the bus,in order to prioritize the collision avoidance outside the bus and then consider the passengers inside the bus to fall down,three different braking intensity schemes of the bus in the process of remote braking are proposed: The braking strategy of maximum braking strength in emergency state,the braking strategy of minimum braking strength in safety state and the braking strategy of maximum braking strength in repulsive force model in low risk state.Moreover,the vehicle dynamics model is established to simulate and verify the effectiveness of the remote braking strategy.Through the co-simulation of different driving conditions of buses in Truck Sim and Matlab/Simulink,the curves of bus speed,acceleration,as well as the relative distance to obstacles in front of the bus are obtained,and the effectiveness of the strategy is analyzed.Finally,the remote braking system test bench is built by using the host computer,4G communication module and the hardware of the wire controlled pneumatic braking system.Based on the proposed remote braking control strategy,the hardware-in-the-loop test was carried out,and experiments and analyses under different working conditions were carried verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the remote braking strategy.
