| Rapid urbanisation in the country has led to environmental degradation and a gradual reduction in green space and natural space, which is inconsistent with the goal of harmonious and livable living and has given rise to a range of urban issues such as habitat and health.Today, people are beginning to attach importance to strengthening their ties with nature and are eager to release stress and enjoy their bodies and minds through contact with nature. With the introduction of policies such as China’s 14 th Five-Year Plan, the Health China 2030 Plan and the Regulations on Urban Greening Planning and Construction Indicators, attention has been paid to the healthy and sustainable development of the urban environment, while also increasing the importance of people’s physical and mental health. The importance of the development of people’s physical and mental health has also increased. As an integral part of the urban green space system, urban squares have the property of being easily accessible. In landscape design,we need to create interactive and experiential urban squares from the perspective of being close to nature, through a variety of pro-nature modes and means,so that residents can gain a richer and deeper pro-nature experience and feeling.Based on the concept of pro-nature design and the three modes and fourteen attributes of nature under this concept, this thesis takes urban public space as the research object, and uses a combination of literature, field research and case study methods to carry out research. The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part composes the background of the study, presents the purpose and significance of this research topic, reviews the current status of research on pro-nature at home and abroad in recent years, and determines the method and route of writing. The second part summarises the concepts of pro-nature design and urban public space, explores the feasibility and application principles of pro-nature concepts in landscape design, and analyses typical cases of pro-nature design at the landscape level at home and abroad to form the theoretical basis of the research.Based on a large number of relevant studies, the third part discusses pro-nature design strategies for urban public space, including three levels: principles of pro-nature landscape design for urban public space, implementation paths of pro-nature concepts in urban public space design, and pro-nature landscape planning and design strategies for urban public space.Among them, the design principles include the principle of ecology, the principle of nature perception, and the principle of symbiosis between human and nature. The implementation paths include direct nature application, indirect nature application, and nature application in space and layout, which are three dimensions to meet the sensory needs, behavioural needs and spiritual needs of the users. The design strategy includes the construction of a multi-sensory natural landscape pattern, the building of multi-level natural ecological spaces and the creation of multiple natural experience atmospheres. The fourth part combines on-site research to explore the surrounding area and the development status of Weifang Bailanghe Square, analyse the types of target users and their daily needs, and conclude that the current design of Weifang Bailanghe Square lacks attention to the actual needs of the users, the direct nature pattern is single, the indirect nature pattern design is not prominent, and the space and layout patterns are haphazardly constructed. Finally, based on the study of pro-nature theory, the Weifang City Bailanghe Square is selected for design practice.Taking the public’s needs as the starting point,a multi-level pronature landscape design model is built to effectively relieve pressure from the public’s psychological, physiological and cognitive aspects respectively, show the healing power of nature and promote the construction of a harmonious human living environment. The application of pro-nature design to urban public spaces is a way to effectively enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and society. |
