| The construction of a beautiful countryside is an important part of the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and an inevitable trend of China’s balanced social, economic and environmental development in the new era.The countryside has an independent economic form, social form, humanistic form and development mode, which gives people a different attraction from the city.Nowadays, the surge of foreign tourists triggered by the hot rural tourism and the return of the rural population driven by the revitalization of rural industries have both set higher quality requirements for the human living environment in the countryside. However, rapid urbanization, population influx, and spontaneous unreasonable planning and sloppy management in the process of rural construction have led to frequent problems of improper use of rural land resources and more and more unused spaces in villages that have been underutilized for a long time. This is not only a serious waste of land resources, but also a major obstacle to the maintenance of the overall appearance of the countryside and the development of rural construction. In this context, this study is based on the healthy development of villages and the needs of villagers from the perspective of landscape architecture.Through a series of landscape planning and design methods, some of the unused spaces with high utilization value are reactivated and integrated into the overall landscape system of the countryside. The aim is to improve the quality of villagers’ living environment and tourists’ experience, and to realize the efficient use of land and sustainable development of rural landscape. The article summarizes the theories and methods of rural idle space landscape design and rural landscape planning, and defines the research scope of this study by combining the development history and progress of rural idle space and rural landscape design research at home and abroad;summarizes the characteristics of rural idle space as well as design concepts and design techniques by interpreting and analyzing the excellent cases of rural idle space landscape design;Selects three sample villages in Weihai City;By summarizing and analyzing the basic profile, location, utilization value and design intervention degree of rural idle spaces in the sample sites,we combine theoretical research to reclassify rural idle spaces at the level of landscape planning and design, and formulate corresponding landscape design strategies; Finally, through the application and verification of the design practice of specific cases, the landscape design of idle space of Zhangjiabu Village in Weihai City is carried out according to the design principles of ecological priority,human-oriented,regional protection and sustainable development, and the final conclusion is drawn to clarify the feasibility and necessity of the landscape design of rural idle space.Combining the research progress at home and abroad, the actual case analysis and the regional, cultural and resource characteristics of rural areas in Weihai, this study selects and categorizes unused spaces with high utilization value in rural areas from the perspective of landscape planning and design, and innovatively divides rural unused spaces into three categories:remodeled and reshaped rural unused spaces, partially renewed rural unused spaces, and constrained and adapted rural unused spaces.Secondly,on the basis of restoring and maintaining the rural texture and the integrity and systematization of the rural landscape, the current situation information such as roads, rivers, functional areas and landscape node distribution is sorted out and the unused spaces scattered among them are linked, and the specific landscape design contents such as function, form and theme of the unused spaces in different areas are derived.Ultimately, the idle spaces in the landscape can be fully and reasonably utilized, and become a powerful help to activate and maintain the vitality of the landscape,as well as an important part of maintaining the integrity and uniqueness of the landscape. |
