| The central air conditioning system is widely used in improving indoor air quality in public and residential buildings. As the building area increases, the installed capacity of central air conditioning systems also increases, leading to an increase in total energy consumption and energy waste.Energy conservation is a global concern and is highly valued as a basic national policy in countries where per capita energy is limited, including our own.In light of these concerns, this paper aims to select a central air conditioning system suitable for the public building being studied by comparing and analyzing different types of central air conditioning systems. The study uses Energy Plus energy consumption simulation software and Design Builder user interface simulation software, based on Energy Plus,to establish a building model and a central air conditioning system model for a specific public building. The energy consumption of the central air conditioning system is compared and analyzed under different end-set temperatures for cooling and heating seasons, with or without shading for the window system, different room occupancy rates, and system operating times. The main research contents are as follows:(1)A public building is selected as the research object, and the Design Builder software is used to establish a building model based on the window-to-wall ratio, form factor, envelope structure module coefficient, and heat transfer coefficient obtained from the analysis of building parameters. The central air conditioning system model is established by setting the internal disturbance parameters of the central air conditioning system in the building.(2)The effects of different end-set temperatures for cooling and heating seasons, room occupancy rates, system operating times, and the presence or absence of shading on the energy consumption of the central air conditioning system are compared and analyzed. The analysis shows that the end-set temperature and room occupancy rate have the greatest impact on the energy consumption of the air conditioning system. To reduce energy consumption and waste, increasing the cooling temperature or decreasing the heating temperature of the system and turning off the air conditioning system in unused rooms can be effective, while adding shading systems to the building’s maintenance structure and shortening the operating time of the air conditioning system can also help.(3)Based on the energy-saving strategy of the central air conditioning system, the control system schemes of various energy-saving modules were studied, and the workflow diagrams of each module were designed to facilitate the connection of intelligent control technology with the existing central air conditioning system control unit to achieve energy-saving control of the central air conditioning system.By establishing a building model and a central air conditioning system model for a specific public building and analyzing energy-saving strategies for the central air conditioning system, this study provides ideas and methods for the design of new public building air conditioning systems or the upgrade and renovation of existing building air conditioning systems. The energy-saving strategies obtained can help achieve energy conservation and integration of buildings with their external environments, people, and central air conditioning systems. This paper represents an "application innovation" in the use of existing energy consumption simulation software to solve practical problems. |
