Study On Spatial Quality Analysis And Morphological Optimization Strategy Of City Square In Hunan Province

China’s urban construction has developed rapidly after the reform and opening up,which has brought opportunities for the development and improvement of urban squares.And with the continuous improvement of national materials and the continuous improvement of life,citizens’ demand for urban squares has gradually increased.However,in this period of social transformation full of contradictions,a good fit has not yet been formed between the construction of the city square and the growing material and cultural needs of the people.The construction of urban squares has problems such as large environmental damage,unbalanced scale,low space quality,low space utilization,destroying traditional context,single space form,and affecting urban style.This paper takes the urban squares in Hunan Province as the research object,and mainly focuses on two key issues: "How to make a reliable evaluation of the quality of the urban squares in Hunan Province?","What is the urban square design suitable for Hunan Province? Strategy?".The research identified 108 existing urban squares in Hunan Province.Through the use of national geographic information public service platforms,social network data,data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China,street view data,Baidu road conditions and heat map data,Excel,field data collection and other tools and technical means,traditional empirical data and big data analysis are combined.In this way,a new dataset of urban squares in Hunan Province is established.The theoretical method of morphological typology was used to draw the morphological diagrams of 108 urban squares,and to extract the pictorial representations of square shapes and roads.Based on multi-source data,this paper analyzes and evaluates the three major physical elements that constitute the urban plaza space—base surface,border,and furniture from multiple dimensions.This study clarifies the morphological characteristics and problems of urban squares in Hunan Province.By combining sociology,phenomenology,behavior,etc.,this study interprets the reasons behind the problem,and puts forward targeted optimization strategies for the spatial form of urban squares in Hunan Province.Through this research,it provides a typed and systematic theoretical basis for the construction of urban squares in Hunan Province.This can improve the scientific nature of urban square planning and construction,and also provide a local cognitive model and a reference system different from the western context for the construction of future public space in China.
