Research On Modernization Of Kitchens In Traditional Tujia Residences In Western Huna

With the implementation of the strat egy of rural revitalization and the country’s continuous attention to traditional culture,the protection of traditional houses has once again been mentioned to a new height,but the protection of traditional houses should not only stay in feelings,but al so pay attention to meet the needs of modern life.Modern facilities should be introduced on the premise of preserving national special customs and maintaining the appearance of traditional buildings,so as to improve the living environment of residents,i mprove the quality of life,and urge people to use and protect traditional houses voluntarily.Kitchen,as one of the core units of housing,is an indispensable functional room of residential houses,the embodiment of a family’s living standard,a local way of life,and a display of regional culture.Improving the quality of traditional residential kitchens is one of the important ways to improve the living level.The traditional houses of Tujia nationality in western Hunan are all wooden buildings,but as a "wet unit" and a room that needs fire at the same time,there are many inconveniences in fire prevention,waterproofing,moisture-proof,sanitation and so on.its backward conditions and modern way of life also have a lot of inadaptability.Therefore,this paper focuses on the modernization and renewal of the kitchen of traditional wooden dwellings in western Hunan.There are a large number of traditional villages in western Hunan,among which Tujia people mainly live in Longshan County,Yongshun County,Baojing County,Sangzhi County,Guzhang County and other areas.Tujia people in these areas almost retain the original Tujia folk houses and traditional way of life.This paper selects Laoche Village in Longshan County,Lao Sicheng Village in Yongshun Coun ty and Bo Sheping Village in Yongshun County as research objects for on-the-spot investigation and analysis.Through the on-the-spot investigation of the current situation of local dwellings,especially the kitchen,this paper sorts out the current situati on and problems of the kitchen of Tujia wooden dwellings,analyzes the plane layout of local traditional dwellings,the layout of kitchen equipment and facilities,decoration,water supply and drainage,lighting,ventilation and smoke exhaust,and puts for ward the strategies for modernizing the kitchen space of Tujia traditional wooden dwellings.It focuses on solving the technical problems such as plane layout,equipment and facilities,decoration and sanitary conditions of Tujia traditional dwellings in L aoche village.Carding and functional replacement of the plane streamline of the building,introduction of modern equipment and facilities,secondary decoration of the kitchen of traditional wooden dwellings,special design at the technical level and optim ization of energy mode,so as to improve the sanitary conditions of the kitchen,improve the work efficiency of the kitchen,and comprehensively improve the quality of the kitchen of the traditional wooden dwelling of Tujia nationality in western Hunan.
