| Under the background of globalization, the roof of small and medium-sized public buildings in Hunan lacks the expression of traditional cultural connotation. In traditional building roof transition to a modern building, the emergence of the new building function, puts forward new requirements on building roof form, and building roof drainage, not only to provide shelter and other basic functions, also affect the image of the external form and architectural interior space, affect the balance of the surrounding space,in the sense of ritual,or mental space shape above has a very important role,Moreover, the roof design of small and medium-sized public buildings in Hunan needs to be further improved in the aspects of climate response, construction, indoor light and shadow shaping, humanistic care and so on.The first part raises questions and consists of Chapter 1.Through summary and analysis,it is pointed out that the roof design of modern small and medium-sized public buildings in Hunan needs to be further improved. The second part introduces the theory of critical regionalism and consists of Chapter 2.It concludes that critical regionalism focuses on construction, site factors, perceptual experience and traditional contemporary expression. The relationship between roofs of small and medium-sized public buildings in Hunan and critical regionalism theory is established. The third part is the analysis of problems and theoretical application, which is composed of chapter 3,chapter 4 and Chapter 5.It is concluded that the roof design of contemporary public buildings should not only pay attention to the formal beauty of the roof, but also pay attention to the influence of surrounding space and urban texture. In the analysis of hunan traditional architecture, the paper analyzes the design method adopted by traditional architecture in response to climate, and summarizes seven regional characteristics of Hunan traditional architecture from the plane, eaves, materials, shapes and colors. Then it analyzes the modern and contemporary public buildings in Hunan and summarizes the design attempts of modern and contemporary architects in response to climate and tradition. Finally, combining the seven regional characteristics of hunan traditional architecture with the five theoretical characteristics of critical regionalism, three design levels of roof of small and medium-sized public buildings in Hunan are obtained: response to environment, response to humanity and response to construction. In response to the environment reflects the fit with the terrain, emphasizing that the roof of the building should take into account the hot and rainy climate conditions in Hunan. In response to the surrounding environment, emphasis is placed on weakening the form of the building roof into the environment. The modern translation of traditional architectural forms is carried out in response to the humanities, starting with people’s perceptual experience, and responding to people’s emotions by adding designs that stimulate people’s vision, smell, feeling and hearing. In response construction,we should summarize the application techniques of building materials, pay attention to the timeliness and contemporariness of materials, advocate the use of regional materials for construction, pay attention to the continuity expression of materials and the response to human emotions such as the color and texture of materials, and appropriately respect traditional technologies and pay attention to the external performance of building structures. The fourth part is chapter 6,which verifies the design strategy proposed in the previous part by combining the author’s design practice. The project practice is described from three aspects: adaptation to environmental conditions, humanistic care design and contemporary construction and expression. |
