Large cruise ships are known as "mobile sea palaces" because of their plump superstructures and feature-rich cabin facilities.The design concept and functional requirements of large cruise ships determine the complexity of its superstructure.Various entertainment facilities are designed in a limited space,and three-dimensional space structures such as large-scale theaters,cinemas,and atriums usually span several decks.The traditional structural form is difficult to meet the requirements of its functional layout and structural strength,and a large number of abnormal-shaped and novel structural forms need to be adopted to meet the requirements of the general layout design of cruise ship.The swimming pool is a novel type of structure in cruise ships.Its large opening affects the continuity of the deck structure and reduces the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure.Analyzing and mastering the load-bearing characteristics of the swimming pool structure of the superstructure of large cruise ships,and reasonably optimizing the swimming pool structure to achieve the design goal of lightweight structure,can provide a reference for the design and safety assessment of the deck openings of large cruise ships in my country.This paper takes the swimming pool structure in the superstructure of a large cruise ship as the research object,and uses the method of combining structural model test and finite element analysis to carry out the study of the bearing characteristics of the swimming pool structure.Finally,based on the goal of reducing the weight of the structure,the optimization design of the swimming pool structure is carried out.The main research of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)Summary of ultimate strength analysis and optimization design methodsThe principles and characteristics of several ultimate strength analysis and structural optimization design methods are summarized.It is determined that the ultimate strength of the swimming pool structure is analyzed based on the structural model test and nonlinear finite element method,and the structural optimization design is based on the combination of variable density topology optimization and size optimization.(2)Ultimate strength test and finite element analysis of the scale model of swimming pool structure.The swimming pool structure is taken in the superstructure of a large cruise ship as the research object,the ultimate strength model test under the combined load of axial and surface pressure loads is designed and completed,according to the actual forces and boundary constraints of the swimming pool in the hull.The collapse path and buckling failure mode of the structure under combined axial and surface pressure loads is obtained,and the test results are compared with the finite element analysis results to verify the accuracy of the finite element simulation calculation.(3)Research on ultimate load capacity of swimming pool prototype structureThe nonlinear finite element method is used to analyze the ultimate load capacity of the prototype structure of swimming pool in large cruise,and the influence of the design parameters such as the size of the deck opening,the opening reinforcement method,and the opening reinforcement size on the ultimate bearing capacity of the swimming pool prototype structure is explored.(4)Research on optimized design of swimming pool structureThe variable density topology optimization is used to optimize the layout of the opening reinforcement plate of swimming pool,and then the size of the structure is optimized after topology optimization to obtain the optimal plate thickness design of the swimming pool structure.By comparing and analyzing the parameters such as structural weight,stress magnitude and ultimate load capacity of the swimming pool structure before and after optimization to verify the feasibility of the optimization method.
