| With the rapid development of the domestic economy,there is a remarkable leap on the quality of live for people.Family cars have been the preferred transportation for people and bring convenience to everyday life;however,the casualty of children,which are caused by traffic accidents,is becoming more and more serious.As the aim to reduce the casualty rate of children in the traffic accident effectively,it is necessity to design the children’s car safety seat reasonably and legally.This study takes the EU ECE standard as the starting point,as the result of imperfection of domestic standard for children’s car safety seats.The EU redefined CRS as: ECRs(means,enhanced child restraint system),and the intention is to decrease the risk of injury through movement limitation for children’s bodies in the case of vehicle collision or rapid deceleration.The EU has issued the standard ECE R44,and issued the latest standard ECE R129 subsequently.The paper explores new breakthrough in product structure and size,by comparison analysis between new(ECE R129)and old standards(ECE R44);and the industrial design methodology proposed in paper has combined children’s ergonomics,physiological and psychological characteristics,to provide solution to the pain point that the domestic enterprises’ design methodology only focus on the structure and safety performance of children’s safety seats,regardless of user-oriented design.This paper mainly gives emphasize on the domestic market and develops the product which fit both EU i-Size(ECE R129)standard and characteristics of domestic consumers,to better serve Chinese children and ensure children’s safe travel.The final design scheme would be formulated through the analysis and comparison of ECE standards,the in-depth analysis of children’s physiology and psychology,and the re-understanding of the market;as well as the interpretation of the testing process and result,to generate a new idea for the innovative design of children’s car safety seats. |
