The thesis explains how important in our daily life is the space that surround us.A lot of examples from books shows that even little details have a huge influence on human’s perception of any place.We experience the urban landscape by all of the senses,that is why it should be designed in a special way.Now the architects and designers started to focus on creating things with care about sensory sensations of a user.It is a good way to make people interact with buildings,infrastructure and finally,with the city.The chapters presents the way how people live in European and Asian contemporary cities.It shows what they do in their free time or how they develop thanks to living in the city.Between these two continents,we can observe a lot of differences both in the general view of the city and people’s daily activities or their behavior connected with that.The analytical part of the thesis contains comparing of selected cities based in Europe and Asia.The examples were compiled based on a source data and personal experiences.The results shows similarities and differences between the cities.A second part of analyses contains a survey conducted on a group of people living in the big cities on two continents: Europe and Asia.They share their own experiences connected with the city and they evaluate the quality of selected public spaces,what is based on their personal feelings.The results presents us differences in the way of thinking of people from two continents,and also show the new way of designing public spaces and urban landscape for next generations of designers.The following thesis is a comprehensive source of knowledge concerning issues connected with cities,urban landscape,design and social aspects of living in the city.
