Research On The Ethical Problems In The Urban Public Space Design In China

With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,the urban public space has also expanded increasingly.However,it lacks of holistic and long-term considerations in urban development planning,and the design and construction of urban public space lacks of humanistic thinking and ethical cares,which deepens the contradiction between human and nature,people and people.On the one hand,the development of urban public space cannot keep up with the needs of urban residents,and its proportion and usage planning are difficult to match the growing needs of the citizens,on the other hand,the user's physical and mental security,fairness and justice in urban public space and other ethical problems are becoming more prominent.Phenomenon of space deprivation and conflicts in social relations have also appeared.Therefore,in order to promote the sustainability of urban public space development in the process of urbanization,and constantly meet the growing needs of the citizens for beautiful cities and good life,it becomes more and more urgent to explore the ethics in the design of urban public space in China and analyze the causes of them and then find ways to solve them from the perspective of ethics problems.The meaning of public space contains two aspects,in the physical sense and in the political&cultural sense.The author defines the urban public space from the combination of the two aspects.From the perspective of ethics,the basic theories and principles of design ethics are applied to the design of urban public space,and the author puts forwards the basic ethical demands of urban public space design.Namely publicity,environmental protection,humanity and security.The development of urban public space in China lags behind the process of urbanization obviously.In addition to the lack of strong sense of responsibility,lack of ethical cares,and weak public morality,there are many ethical problems such as lack of public equality awareness,lack of environmental awareness,and lack of humanistic concepts.Ethical problems such as lack of safety concepts have affected the sense of public participation,increased the probability of environmental harm,and reduced the sense of spatial identity.The psychological safety scale has increased the difficulty of control.To eliminate the ethical problems in the design of urban public space in China,we must adhere to the basic ethical principles of people-oriented,environmental protection,harmony,ethical norms and institutional supervision of the design of public space,cultivating and improving the ethical responsibility of all participating subjects.We firmly believe that the development of beautiful cities and characteristic cities,urban public spaces that are fair,accessible,environmentally friendly,comfortable and safe.It will usher in rapid development and continue to meet the people's growing needs with the advancement of beautiful country construction.
