Air filter system is one of the important core components of locomotive diesel engine.Its working performance directly determines the running performance and service life of locomotive power system.Diesel engine at work,the need to constantly have fresh air into the air filtration system is to make the diesel engine into the air to keep clean important barrier.It is of great significance to design an air filtration system with low air resistance,high flow uniformity and simple structure to ensure the safety of diesel engine and improve the efficiency of diesel engine.The plateau dual power concentrated EMU adopts the international first internal and electric dual terminal and dual control strategy,which can switch the internal combustion and electric power mode control operation according to the operation demand,and has both internal combustion and electric power synergistic traction capacity.In this paper,the wind speed conditions of inlet air,the air volume-resistance curve of side wall filter and the air volume-resistance curve of bag filter under two working conditions of plain and plateau are analyzed and corrected.Then,the air filtration system of plateau dual power locomotive is designed.Three physical models of air filtration system are established in ANSYS Fluent.SIMPLE algorithm is adopted and the standard k-ε two-equation turbulence model is selected to carry out simulation numerical calculation.The elevation is 0 meters under plain conditions and 5100 meters under plateau conditions.Three kinds of air filtration systems were simulated under the conditions of plain and plateau respectively to analyze the influence of different structure of air filtration system schemes on the internal flow field of the system.Under the plain condition,the flow resistance,air flow uniformity,turbulence characteristics and structure simplicity of different air filtration schemes were compared and analyzed.Under plateau conditions,the flow resistance,air flow uniformity,turbulence characteristics and structure simplicity of different air filtration schemes were compared and analyzed.It is considered that scheme 3 is the optimal solution under both high condition and plain condition.Last three as a basis to plan,analyzed the internal flow field under the condition of plain and plateau,it is concluded that the air filter system,internal resistance to flow and turbulence kinetic energy and dissipation rate will be increased with the rising of altitude as working conditions,and the flow field distribution inside the diesel engine air filter system and uniform state will be increased with the elevation of working conditions and reduce the conclusion.
