Study On The Spatial Integration Design Of Subway Station Signage System

With the accelerated development of urban rail transportation,metro has become an important part of urban public space,and the signage system,as the most direct communication medium between people and metro space,guides passengers to use the space better.In the context of the improvement of urban rail space construction requirements and the signage system design increasingly showing refinement,most metro signage system design still stays at the stage of systematic and standardized construction,lacking integration with space,artistry and passengers’ understanding of space cognition and other problems,resulting in the signage system not playing the maximum benefit.Based on the above problems,the thesis starts from the design concept of metro space integration,and the metro signage system is the object of study,taking the philosophical thought of creation in the pre-Qin period as the theoretical basis.The study starts from the relationship between "object and environment,object and object,object and people".Through the combination of combing excellent cases at home and abroad,field investigation and questionnaire survey,we found that the signage system lacks coordination and unity in spatial integration,functional presentation and artistic expression.Based on the design principles and design objectives,and based on the design process,the integrated design index is constructed,and the integrated design method of design management,spatial environment and passenger use is proposed,as well as the initial exploration of the design expression,so that the signage system and the subway space can be integrated to the maximum extent,forming an organic whole with the space,highlighting the spatial characteristics and focusing on humanistic care,and being harmoniously unified in terms of functionality,artistry and human nature.The design is harmonious and unified in terms of functionality,artistry and human nature.Finally,the Northwestern Polytechnic University station is used as an example for design practice.Guided by the philosophy of pre-Qin creation,this thesis explores the spatial integration design of the signage system from the three-dimensional level of "realm-object-human",and forms the coordination of function and art.This thesis provides new ideas for the integration of metro signage system,and also serves as a reference for the design of subsequent signage systems in rail space,so as to promote the high-quality development of rail transit public space.
