With the progress of the times and the development of technology, the urban logistics industry needs to combine with the background of the times and take the steps of industry transformation. In response to the problems of low delivery efficiency and high delivery costs in urban logistics in China, this study combines the concept of "smart city" advocated by the government to expand industry development ideas.Through intelligent optimization and information fusion technology,we further reduce costs and increase efficiency for the industry, improve reputation, and achieve urban logistics in the context of modernization. This research takes the selection of urban logistics distribution centers and optimization of distribution paths as the key technologies for the transformation of the smart logistics industry. It explores how to use artificial intelligence technology in the context of smart cities to intervene in the cost composition of distribution services,in order to achieve more reasonable and efficient selection of distribution centers and optimization of distribution paths. The main research content is divided into the following three parts:(1)On the basis of the composition of conventional urban logistics costs, the logistics distribution system and service processes combined with the concept of smart cities were summarized and summarized. The specific architecture and operational processes of urban distribution were qualitatively analyzed and summarized. The connotations of the two issues of distribution center location and distribution path optimization were sorted out,and the composition of distribution costs in urban scenarios was proposed.(2)After completing the analysis and verification of cost factors,a distribution center location model is constructed based on the goal of minimizing the total construction cost, and a numerical example is used for solution analysis to determine the number and geographical location of alternative distribution centers upgraded to smart distribution centers. The feasibility and rationality of the constructed location model are verified through simulation.(3)Combining the theory of smart cities and the characteristics of distribution systems, considering factors such as transportation costs, equipment costs, and fixed consumption costs,a distribution path optimization model with minimum cost consumption in line with the background of smart cities is constructed.Taking Xi’an Hema Xiansheng Retail Distribution Center as an example, this paper studies the development of intelligent distribution business in the urban logistics industry, and then uses the improved genetic algorithm to analyze the model, verifying the completeness of the model and the progressiveness of the improved algorithm.
