Since the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy at the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2017,the diverse value of rural space has become a focus of attention in the field of urban and rural construction.People have begun to examine the "characteristic crisis" that has emerged in the modernization process of rural construction. In the past, rural space construction was more guided by urban dimensions and urban design techniques, neglecting the exploration of rural characteristics,Especially for rural spatial construction with distinct regional characteristics, there is a lack of protection and inheritance.Zhengxiang White Banner is located in the ecotone of agriculture and animal husbandry, with distinct rural spatial characteristics. In the context of rapid urbanization, conflicts are also prominent. Therefore, selecting a typical rural spatial construction research of Zhengxiang White Banner has certain practical significance. The concept of local construction advocates valuing site resources and integrating local customs and styles, which is in line with the current concept of rural spatial construction. Therefore, this article will combine the concept of local construction with rural spatial construction, using the example of the Zhengxiangbai Banner rural space,to explore a rural spatial construction strategy that combines the two,in order to explore new directions for contemporary rural spatial construction. This article first takes the issue of lack of characteristics in rural spatial construction as the starting point, and uses literature research methods to systematically review the local concepts and research achievements of rural space at home and abroad. It summarizes the advanced research experience of scholars and provides theoretical support for the research on local construction of rural space in Zhengxiangbai Banner.Secondly, the natural environment, cultural environment, and social environment elements of Zhengxiang White Banner were extracted, and the overall layout and internal spatial characteristics of rural space in Zhengxiang White Banner were summarized.12 typical villages in Zhengxiang White Banner were selected as research objects, and based on the morphological characteristics of the villages, they were divided into three types of villages: cluster clustering, discrete distribution, and belt extension.Based on the theory of location and environmental ethics,a systematic analysis was conducted on the overall layout elements of site selection environment, village form, and road system in 12 typical rural areas,as well as the internal spatial elements of public space, landscape space, and courtyard space. From two dimensions of overall layout and internal space, spatial construction analysis was conducted on the three forms of rural areas, and the unique local construction methods in rural space were sorted out. Finally,by combining the three construction concepts of natural environment, historical and cultural heritage, and construction techniques in different types of rural spaces in Zhengxiang White Banner,we aim to explore the local wisdom of local construction and provide support for spatial construction optimization strategies. On the basis of summarizing the geographical characteristics of different types of rural space in Zhengxiangbai Banner, and combining the characteristics of the times in Zhengxiangbai Banner area and the principles of construction wisdom inheritance, this paper explores the optimization strategy of rural space construction on the ground from two aspects of overall layout optimization and internal space improvement, aiming to change the "patternization" of rural space through geographical construction, and provide ideas for the space construction work of other villages of the same type in Zhengxiangbai Banner.
