| China has the most complete industrial system in the world, but many products are still at the middle and low end of the value chain, some key technical links are still controlled by others, which makes the trade of China vulnerable to the impact of the trade environment. At present, although China’s total export trade shows an upward trend, the growth rate of trade has been weak or even declining.Improving the quality of export products and finding new driving forces have become the only way for the sustainable development of China’s export trade. In recent years, the development of ecommerce and Internet has brought new opportunities and development space for export trade. In this thesis, explores the impact of internetization on the export product quality of manufacturing enterprises, provide reference suggestions for rational use of Internet resources and giving full play to the advantages of internetization to realize product quality upgrading, and provide reference for the integration of digital economy and real economy.Firstly, this thesis follows the model framework of Melitz(2003)and Fan et al.(2015),studies the relationship between internetization and the product quality of export enterprises through adding internetization factors, and combs the influence mechanism.Secondly, matching with the Chinese Industrial Enterprise Data and the Chinese Customs Data, and use Alibaba data to measure the internetization, improve the rationality of measuring the internetization Index,so as to conduct empirical analysis. Then,it examines the trade cost reduction effect, resource allocation efficiency improvement effect and trade opening-up level expansion effect of internetization, and the indirect impact on the total factor productivity and R&D innovation ability of enterprises,so as to explore the impact mechanism of the degree of internetization on the quality of export products. Finally, distinguish the types of enterprises and export countries, and explore the heterogeneity of the impact of internetization on the quality of export products. The results show that: first, the internetization is conducive to improving the product quality of export enterprises. Moreover, internetization can indirectly promote the export products quality of enterprises by improving the total factor productivity and R&D innovation ability of enterprises.Second, the internetization has trade cost reduction effect, resource allocation efficiency improvement effect and trade openingup level expansion effect, and the internetization can promote the total factor productivity and R&D innovation ability of enterprises through the trade cost reduction effect and trade opening-up level expansion effect, while the resource allocation efficiency improvement effect has the illusion of inhibiting the increase of total factor productivity.Third, the internetization has a significant improvement effect on the product quality of labor-intensive enterprises and export enterprises in developed countries, but has no significant impact on the product quality of capital-intensive enterprises and export enterprises in developing countries.Based on the above, this thesis puts forward the following policy suggestions: first, strengthen the construction of Internet infrastructure and build a secure network environment;Second, promote the integration of the Internet and traditional manufacturing industries and give full play to the internetization effect;Third, broaden channels of foreign exchanges and cooperation, expand Internet application scenarios, make full use of the information advantages of the digital economy era,and inject new vitality into the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing export enterprises in combination with China’s existing export scale advantages. |
