With the rapid development of the creative industry,its communication and economic benefits has attracted major museums to develop their own products,and gradually become another form of pursuit of traditional culture.Among museums’ cultural creations,ceramics have profound cultural value and higher income in spreading culture,so the state has promulgated many policies to promote the development of museums’ ceramic creations.However,most of the current research focuses on the design of all types of museum creations,or the design of ceramic creations in the market,while the research on museum ceramic creations is in the minority.As a ceramic museum,the Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Museum has a certain number of ceramic creations in the museum,so it has research value.By investigating the current design status of ceramic creations in the Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Museum,we find that there are certain problems with the design,and use interdisciplinary research methods,combined with the theory of semiotics,to analyze the path to solve the problem of ceramic creations in the museum.Based on this,we first introduce the background of the development of cultural creation in Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Museum in three aspects: international of The New Museology,national cultural creation policies,and local development orientation;Secondly,we examine and analyze the current situation of cultural creation in the museum,pointing out that there are problems such as excessive "antiquity" thinking and symbolic abuse,and introduce the use of symbols for cultural creation in domestic museums.Furthermore,the feasibility of semiotic intervention in the design of ceramics in this museum is discussed in terms of the symbolic nature of the collection and the guiding nature of semiotics for museum creativity.The following three perspectives are proposed for the design of the museum’s ceramic creations,combined with excellent examples of museum creations: The syntactics element,study and use the overall shape and local characteristics of cultural heritage.The semantic elements,integrate the explicit and implicit semantics in the symbols of cultural relics.The pragmatics element,the investigation and analysis of the "user" and "use" of the cultural creation,so as to build the design model of the museum’s ceramic cultural creation and explore a more proper design method.Finally,from a semiotic perspective,we discuss the development strategies of the museum’s ceramic creations through three paths: cooperation,branding,and networking.It provides a theoretical basis for improving the design and development of the museum’s ceramic creations,and also provides a model for the further development of the museum’s ceramic creations.
