The automobile industry is an important pillar industry of the national economy and plays an irreplaceable role,with a significant driving effect in the development of the country and social economy.Due to the rapid development of the national economy and cities in recent years,as well as the growth of people’s income,the domestic automobile industry has maintained a high-speed growth.The rapid growth of automobile sales naturally brings about energy shortages and environmental pollution issues that are becoming increasingly prominent.Therefore,the country strongly advocates accelerating the cultivation and development of energy-saving vehicles and new energy vehicles,which can effectively alleviate energy and climate pressures,promote sustainable development of the automotive industry,promote the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry,cultivate new economic growth points,and enhance international competitive advantages.With the implementation of the national strategy of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse,the domestic new energy market has gradually shifted from a cultivation period of government stimulus consumption to a growth period driven by market consumption after several years of development and cultivation.At the same time,the sales of new energy vehicles have not only gradually escaped the impact of the epidemic but also become a new engine for strong growth of passenger vehicles.It is precisely because the global automotive industry is experiencing tremendous market opportunities for the transformation from fuel powered vehicles to electric vehicles that more and more new car manufacturing companies are joining the army of electric vehicle manufacturing.As a newly established car manufacturing company,H Automobile is committed to creating high-quality and high-performance global electric vehicles for the nation.Faced with increasingly fierce market competition,as a new car manufacturing company with neither technological accumulation nor mature system support,how can we seize market opportunities in a short period of time and quickly provide high-quality and innovative automotive products to the market and consumers.Although facing numerous difficulties,it has become a problem that new energy electric vehicle enterprises must solve to survive.This paper is based on process optimization,concurrent engineering,advanced product quality planning(APQP),object-oriented/manufacturing(DFM/DFX)design and other related process theories and tools,and focuses on the thermal system development process that the author is responsible for.Firstly,a comprehensive introduction and sorting of the entire vehicle development process and the current thermal system development process of H Automobile will be conducted.The project case analysis method and expert interview analysis method will be used to analyze,summarize,and summarize the main problems faced by the thermal system development process of H Automobile: insufficient preliminary planning and lack of market competitiveness of products;Lack of review,experienced design by developers,outdated development techniques,and frequent product design changes lead to low development efficiency;The serial development method has many no value-added and ineffective activities,leading to problems such as long development cycles.Finally,based on the current development project,the potential reduction in development cycle brought by the optimized thermal system development process in the new project development process was analyzed,and the savings in development cycle further led to savings in labor costs and equipment and material costs.On the other hand,the optimized process reduces design changes and brings potential economic benefits.In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimized process,it is necessary to provide guarantees from personnel,organization,systems,information technology,and other aspects.It can be seen that the optimization of the thermal system development process after optimization not only provides important assistance and improvement for the subsequent project development of H Automobile,but also provides valuable reference information for other manufacturers or peers to optimize the development process.
