Research On Inheritance Of Traditional Handicraft And Cultural Creative Design Based On Nostalgia Memory

Rapid urbanization has led to the drastic decrease of rural population,the shelving of a large number of local culture,and the forgetting of many traditional handicrafts bearing the memory of nostalgia by the rapidly developing modern society.Under this background,the strong nostalgia of the public has been fostered.As an important spiritual carrier for the homesickness of the displaced people,traditional handicraft plays a vital role in the revitalization of rural areas and the recovery of local culture.Led by the theory of nostalgia memory,and based on the principle of awakening local nostalgia and inheriting regional cultural characteristics,this study reshaped the vitality of traditional handicrafts through cultural creative design,so as to arouse the resonance of rural emotion and nostalgia memory among the public.Firstly,related concepts of homesickness memory and traditional handicraft are elaborated,and the correlation between traditional handicraft and homesickness memory is summarized,as well as the significance of studying traditional handicraft from the perspective of homesickness memory.Then the nostalgia memory of traditional handicraft in the study area was investigated,the problems of traditional handicraft and the nostalgia memory elements contained in it were analyzed,the nostalgia carrier elements of the study area were extracted,and the nostalgia carrier elements that could better reflect the nostalgia memory were analyzed to assist the subsequent design according to the survey data.Through the field investigation of the homesickness carrier Xu Xing straw weave,the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation are summarized.Finally,design strategies were formulated through design investigation and analysis,and elements with more homesickness connotation were analyzed in Xuhang straw weave,and cultural creative design was carried out by combining the elements of Xuhang straw weave with local homesickness.Through research and design,the local culture that disappeared in the process of urbanization can be revived,the nostalgia of the displaced people can be resettled,and the traditional handicraft with local characteristics can be better protected and inherited,thus contributing to the revitalization of local villages.
