| In recent years, more and more people have begun to recognise the importance of cultural heritage to human society, and governments, social organisations, academics and civil society have joined the ranks of cultural heritage conservation.Among them, the protection of linear cultural heritage, such as the Silk Road and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, has received much attention. At present, research on the cultural heritage of ancient roads in China is still lagging behind, therefore, the establishment of a system for evaluating the value of ancient roads and making full use of their tourism value has become an urgent and important heritage conservation need.In this paper,we take the Xiang Yue Ancient Road(Chenzhou section)as the research object, aiming to excavate and evaluate its cultural heritage, and provide a theoretical basis for the future conservation work of the Xiang Yue Ancient Road. This paper focuses on the excavation and value evaluation of the cultural heritage of the Xiangyue Ancient Road(Chenzhou section).By collecting relevant literature and materials, the transport system and historical lineage of the ancient road were sorted out,and 134 cultural heritages of the Chenzhou section were collected. On this basis,a hierarchical analysis method and a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were combined to establish an index system for evaluating the value of cultural heritage, and to evaluate the value of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage resources of the Chenzhou section. The main findings of this paper were obtained after the above analysis and argumentation:(1)The tangible cultural heritage of the Chenzhou section is mainly distributed in the hilly and plain areas with low topography, and the overall distribution is linear along the Xiang Yue ancient road(Chenzhou section),with a north-east-south-west distribution direction and a spatial structure of "linear and radial along the yellow belt".The spatial structure is a multi-core structure, with a clear "core-edge" spatial distribution, and the spatial distribution type is agglomerative;the overall level of protection of intangible cultural heritage in the Chenzhou section is good, but most of the heritage needs further attention and protection. The quality of tangible cultural heritage resources in the Chenzhou section varies greatly, mainly in the second and third grades;the quality of intangible cultural heritage resources varies less, mainly in the first and second grades.Among them,Su Xian District and Yizhang County are the high level regional gathering areas.(2)The vast majority of the cultural heritage of the ancient Xiangyue Road is in a state of individual protection, and not enough attention has been paid to the overall protection of heritage and the revitalisation of cultural heritage, and no comprehensive, systematic and in-depth development has been carried out.The Chenzhou section has done relatively well in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, but there are still many shortcomings in the protection of tangible cultural heritage. At present, the conservation and reuse of cultural heritage of the Chenzhou section of the Xiang Yue Ancient Road is still at a preliminary stage, and the reuse of historical and cultural resources has not yet been well realised,so the future should focus on the work of exploring the value of historical and cultural resources. The results show that the spatial distribution of heritage in the Chenzhou section is characterised by a core-edge clustering distribution, with the quality of tangible cultural heritage resources varying greatly, while the quality of intangible cultural heritage resources varies less.It is also found that the conservation and reuse ofcultural heritage along the ancient Xiang Yue Road is still at a preliminary stage, and future work needs to focus on the value of historical and cultural resources. The research results of this paper provide important materials and information for the related fields, and provide references for future decisions on the conservation of the heritage of the ancient routes and the development and construction of the areas along the routes, helping to promote economic development and sustainable cultural development. |
