A Study On The Impact Of Trade Facilitation On Chinese Home Appliances Export

After years of economic globalization and regional integration,economic and trade cooperation among countries has become increasingly open.Overall tariffs between countries have been significantly reduced,non-tariff barriers have been reduced,and historic progress has been made in trade liberalization.At the same time,trade "inefficiency" as an invisible barrier in the international market circulation to international trade is increasingly prominent.The conditions of inconveniences in the course of international trade are more complex than direct restrictions such as tariff and non-tariff barriers.Trade inconvenience is largely related to mechanism setting,procedure management and technical obstacles.Trade facilitation,as a subject that can effectively improve trade efficiency,has attracted much attention in recent years.According to the literature on trade facilitation,improving the level of trade facilitation helps trading countries improve their trade environment and economic conditions and enhance their international competitiveness.Since the Reform and Opening up,China’s home appliance manufacturing industry has completed the original accumulation,achieved rapid development by leaps and bounds,and greatly enhanced its international competitiveness.At present,China has become the global home appliance manufacturing center.Home appliance industry has developed into one of the pillar industries in China.Meanwhile,economic globalization is declining,trade protectionism is rising,and new home appliance manufacturing bases with more price comparative advantages are emerging.The home appliance industry faces both opportunities and challenges.In this context,the household appliance industry needs to find new growth points of export innovation and develop new competitive advantages.This thesis studies the influence mechanism of trade facilitation on China’s home appliance export trade.The RCEP is an emerging regional economic organization with the greatest development potential.The EU is one of China’s most important partners in import and export.It is of great practical significance to choose these two regional economies as the export destination markets of household appliances.This thesis uses the empirical analysis method to study how trade facilitation affects the export amount by US Dollar of home appliances in China.First of all,the export amount by US Dollar of Chinese household appliances to EU and RCEP from 2011 to 2019 was collected.panel data.Secondly,the trade facilitation score of each country is calculated.Thirdly,the gravity model is used to analyze the influence of trade facilitation on China’s home appliance export.The conclusion is that the level of trade facilitation has a significant positive impact on the growth of China’s home appliance export.Finally,the paper summarizes the paper and puts forward suggestions to promote the reform of trade facilitation,improve the level of China’s trade facilitation,promote the trade facilitation to a higher level from the aspects of transport infrastructure,institutional environment,customs efficiency,e-commerce and so on,and provide a more efficient environment for promoting the in-depth development of international trade.
